I just looked at the dining plan through the link Disney sent today. Does this mean when we are eating at whispering Canyon or Ohana or Liberty Tree or wherever we can only have one iced tea or soda and it is not unlimited refills during the meal?

This is what it says:

Each Table-Service meal includes (for lunch or dinner):

  • 1 Entrée
  • 1 Dessert*
  • Nonalcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)
-OR-

  • 1 Full Buffet** or Family-Style Meal
*Ask your server about potential substitutions, but substitutions are not guaranteed. **If available.

Beverages:
Guests under 21 years of age can choose one nonalcoholic beverage (including specialty beverages where offered). Guests 21 and older can choose either one nonalcoholic beverage (including specialty beverages where offered) or one single-serving mixed cocktail, beer or wine (where offered) within their meal entitlement. A single-serving nonalcoholic beverage includes items such as:

  • Artisanal Milkshakes
  • Fresh Smoothies
  • Premium Hot Chocolate
  • Soda, Coffee or Tea
A single-serving alcoholic beverage includes items such as:

  • Beer or Cider
  • Wine or Sangria
  • Mixed Drinks and Specialty Cocktails

That is where they got me last year. I always forgot that Coffee and tea were NOT included if I had already had a soda or wine with my meal. I have to remember for next time to just grab a coffee with my snack credit someplace else.

We were on DDP in September. We received free refills on soda, water and ice tea. At the time, only the alcoholic drinks were 1 free per guest.

We have never been charged for refills on soft beverages or coffee at any TS restaurant. WE have been charged for a soft beverage is we chose to order a specialty drink using the dining plan at some restaurants, others no.

Ditto. Never been charged for fountain drink refills (soda/lemonade), including juices at a buffet breakfast. The only time we have been charged is for a specialty drink, and apparently now, we get one free.

i have been to Disney every year at least once since 2012. Always bought the DDP or DXDP. every single meal had free refills on tea, soda and at the buffets juice. This last trip in December we had one "free/included alcoholic beverage" AND tea or soda - we were not charged for either. This was at Be Our Guest dinner, Jiko dinner, Boma dinner and breakfast.

I just thought this was the norm. I will add that at BOG dinner (2 credits now) that we had 3 kids under 6 and the server brought us extra "alcoholic drinks" for their dining credits but we were not charged for them or their juice/lemonade. ymmv
