Only a few days to go for the Fall season Chicago area DIS meets

Just got a call from helenabear, she is about 100 miles out. She should be in Chicago about noon or so. So far eveyone is on track!!!

Woohooo!! Not long now! I'm leaving before too long to run a few errands before dinner. And I just spoke with Jim who said he didn't foresee having to work late tonight, so he should be there at 6:00 too.

Sounds like you all will have a wonderful time! It's great that Glo and Pandy are making the LONG drive in - as well as Towncrier.

I'm an easy driving distance from Chicago and have nothing urgent planned for tomorrow - but I'll be on vacation the following 3 weekends - so decided to skip this meet.

Glo and crew are doing fine. I got the PM's (thanks everyone) and just as I was about to call her, she called me. They are out of the worst of the traffic jam, but they have a long way to go. They only have to make one turn off of I-90 to get within 1.5 miles of our house. Glo will call when she gets close and I'll give her directions to my house from the exit.

I'll fire off a quick post when they get here and when we leave. Until then, I'm going to take a nap and dream of Gino's Pizza.

Well, I'm here at the Sheraton Four Points...I have a beautiful, very large room (a free stay, thanks to Starwoods points, I even got an upgrade at no cost Just back from Gino's...full of pizza and had a really good time. Great to see familiar faces again as well as meet some new ones I was escorted from the expressway to Gino's by brisully, who just "happened" to cut in front of me, LOL!!! Plenty of pictures forthcoming, there were MANY cameras

Towncrier, have a safe trip in with Glo and family.....and give me a call in the morning

Just wandering in from the meet. It was SUCH a great time. Good food, good service and good friends. It always amazes me how nice it is every time we get together.
