Only a couple of weeks to go until the Back To School sales begin!!

Any rumors on what the sales will be this year???

And YES I KNOW some of you are not out of school yet but around here kids have nbeen out since the last week or so of May and the sales DO normally begin right after July 4th.

I have lived in NJ my whole life (school year Labor day to end of June), I never knew until I started reading these borads that people get out of school mid May. I now understand why back to school sales start so *early* for us. It used to drive me crazy..we just get out of school and the stores start with back to school sales

Yeah, it is really weird. My daughter is still in school. Her last day is June 28th and they go back first week of Sept. I'm so glad they don't have an elongated summer.

My DD starts Kindergarten this year. Yeah mommy is sad about it. I already got her backpack and lunchbox at TRU since she is into Monster High and they just got them in and Im sure they will be sold out by the time the sales come around.

We just got out last week and go back I think around the 19th of Aug.

I was in Target the other day looking around at the summer stuff because I know it will be gone by July4! I was seeing if there was anything I wanted!

hard to believe that my girls go back in 2 months. I am anxious for the sales though, like to stock up for the year.

DD13 goes back on august 15th, so i guess we'll need to start clothes shopping soon. looks like she's outgrown everything. but, to be fair, we didn't buy much last summer, because all her shirts and blouses still fit; all we had to do was buy a few pairs of shorts. so now, we need shirts, lol.

I did find some things at Walmart last week that were on clearance. Shirts and capris.

As far as school supplies I should not have to buy too much angain this year since I stock up usually and I have one of those 3 drawer plastic containers full of supplies. I know I will need spiral notebooks, and probably the bound one too. Probably some new binders too because they fall apart so easily. I imagine Walmart will be the best to get most things.

I need to go to the school website and print the supply list.

Unfortunately for us, the reality is that stores will have school supplies going out after the 4th, so we'll be shopping when the sales start. It's important to get the best price since they add up so fast.

We won't know what teachers my DD's have until after August 15th. It makes shopping at the time of sales difficult.

Oh my, as my daughter use to say when she was little, "My can't want to do that." LOL! I can't bring myself to think about school starting. It feels like we just got out and with all the budget issues I need a break and not to think about it.

I am glad to see the sales starting! My DD goes to year round school. She will get out of Kindergarten like June 19th and start 1st grade approximatly the 9-10th of July. We go to meet the teacher night next week, so hopefully will get her list then!
