So I just logged our 10 day no exp park hoppers on and we only get 3 FP selections--for some reason I thought DVC members were getting 4! Anyone else have any insight?

I think the everyone is currently limited to 3. I was allowed 3 last month.

well that makes me feel a bit better :)

I also had trouble booking any FP for Animal Kingdom--I'm wondering if it is because that day is more than 60 days out, as in, they don't start the booking window until 60 days before that day? I would have assumed it was 60 days before check in.

It's only 3 FP+ for everyone right now, but you may be given a "bonus" FP+ in the Magic kingdom. I received a bonus Fp+ for little mermaid during my September trip, I didn't request it, it just showed up when I was making my reservations and they specifically called it out as a bonus FP.

And what I don't understand is why we're limited to getting FP+ at only one park per day. We like to park-hop and used to be able to get Fps at both parks. Disney said that "eventually" this would change, but when? FP+ does have advantages, but for us this is one BIG disadvantage.

I agree-- with park hoppers, it basically devalues those tickets if you can't use FPs at one of the parks!

I think folks can make FP+ for up to 6 days of their stay right now...though I might be wrong, but I read someone was ticked because they could only get it for 6 of their 10-12 day stay (and I would be ticked too). Also, they have some of the parks tiered where you can only get 1 headliner...not sure if AK is one of those parks yet but Epcot and HS are.

We actually find that it encourages park hopping. We go to one park early in the day, before lines get too long, and ride using the standby line. Then we hop to another park in the evening and have 3 FP+s to use there. I love being able to get to DHS after 4pm and ride Toy Story with a FP. :)

That's (or TT at EPCOT) definitely the most appealing aspect of FP+ ;)

Or Soarin' when you walk in the park at 3:00 PM. Wow! I'm starting to love FP+, but still wish they would allow us to split the 3 FP+ between parks.

We have been doing the same! It works great for park hopping because you know you have a FP for the longer lines. :)

We weren't sure we would like Fast Pass+ but we got to ride TSM twice, Soarin' and Peter Pan once on this trip. We haven't been on those rides for a while since we don't do rope drop and by the time we get to the parks all the FPs are gone for the day. Don't like that you are restricted to 3 per day.....discourages park hopping but you can use your ticket to get regular FPs if there are any available.

One thing we did notice, there were unbelievably long lines for the Haunted Mansion. We always do HM since there is usually no more than a 10 or 15 minute wait. Not so much any more.

So far we like it more than we expected to.

i was able to book Animal Kingdom on the app--the app seems way better than the site so far. Oh what fun, I can't wait!!! Anyone have any experience booking character interactions or shows like Finding Nemo? Is it worth it? I almost don't want to "waste the FP" on a non headliner but maybe it would completely be worth it.

when we were there in October, FP+ was not needed for any of the shows we went to: Finding Nemo, Lion King, Disney Jr in DHS and Beauty and the Beast in DHS. We had FP+s for all those shows, but were told repeatedly that they weren't necessary and didn't benefit us. We didn't mind, because in AK, I use single rider for Everest, and there were no lines for Dinosaur. We were there at rope drop so went on the Kilimanjaro Safari then.

We used them for a lot of character experiences however. In fact I wish they had FP+ for more character experiences like the Fairies and Sofia. ~.~ Sofia was our longest line, longer than waiting to meet the Dwarves at the Halloween Party.

In Oct, Mickey's Outpost had the longest listed wait time, 30 mins, and we FP+ it. We also FP+ Belle's Enchanted Tales, the Rapunzel Meet-n-Greet, Cinderella's Meet-n- greet, and Ariel's Grotto. Rapunzel had crazy long lines when we were there, I think frequently over 1 hour. We cheated a little. DD was under 3, so we booked 3 FP+ on my band and 3 different ones on DHs and I just used DHs band to take DD on more rides/meet-n-greets, because DH doesn't care for either. We didn't do Mickey's Town Square, but I hear it has longer lines now because Mickey "talks."

I would like the multi-park option...but I have the feeling that many people would book TSM, TT, and Space for eery day of their trip, but only actually use one of them depending on which park they wound up going to (like dining reservations)

FOTLK might be worthwhile to me. There have been several times I walked there from the other end of the park only to be turned away...(I'm not one to arrive 20-40 min early)

I booked both Folk and Finding Nemo. I suppose FoLK was worth it, but there was no CM at the touch turnstile, so I just got in line and walked in. In other words, anyone could get in the FP+ line and walk in, even if they hadn't booked FP+. That was kind of strange, but I guess it was worth it. For me, Finding Nemo FP+ was definitely NOT worth it. Whenever I tried to get FP+ for that show, I could only get it for the latest show (4:45, I think it was). Then when I got there, there were so few people, I just walked in, didn't bother going thru any FP+ line. By the way, you didn't ask about Beauty and the Beast, but it's another show, and my experience was very negative and weird. When I went to the first entrance as you come down the street, I told them I'd booked FP+. So they made me go to another entrance that was much further down the street. But then when I got there, the walkway snaked all around inside back to the same place the first entrance entered. So I ended up back at the same spot, and all I gained was lots of extra walking. Both FP+ and the regular queue merged before entering the theater.

It's true about not get special seating at Beauty and the Beast. But we did get into the theater much quick on the FP+ side than on the standby even considering that everyone had to touch their MBs to the Mickey icon before going up the ramp. But the park wasn't that crowded and the lines not really that long either.

I think a lot of the FP+ offerings are attractions and rides that don't need FP+. Some attractions that didn't have FP+ before now have longer lines than they used too (Haunted Mansion for one).

The last several trips, I've seen much longer than normal lines at Haunted Mansion...even before FP+.
