online

I do.
I think just because you meet someone online initially doesn't mean that in person you won't fall in love with them and it won't be real.
The internet is just another way to meet someone. Yeah you have to be incredibly careful with meeting someone from the internet but you could meet the love of your life.

No.

You can't ever know really know someone just by reading what they say. With that being said, you also can't tell how their tone would be if they were actually talking to instead of typing. Things can* get very mixed up.

Anybody who does use online dating services and what not, are just people who can't keep up with their own peer group.

I met my boyfriend online and we have the best relationship I have ever had. Don't generalize people into a category. I do just fine in my peer group.
Of course meeting people online is NOT A GOOD THING!!! I met him through a friend not a dating website but the first few weeks of knowing each other our only contact was online so we met each other pretty much online.

Says you.

Of course people that do it or that have done it are going to defend themselves when a statement is made about their "category".

Its no offense to you, I just think meeting people online/online dating is completely and utterly ridiculous.

Also, take note that 99.9% of everyone online either says "I'm 5'3", blonde hair, tanned body, I used to model", or "I'm 6'1", tanned, and look like Justin Timberlake" Sure ya do cochise.

So that's your opinion.
I know plenty of people who have met the love of their life online. We even have examples of it on the DIS.
I know for a fact that without the internet I would not have met the love of my life because the foundation of our relationship would not be there.

Agreed

I believe that it is possible to find true love online, just not as likely as actually seeing them in person.
