Online photo sharing websites

I seem to have taken on the role of family photo preservationist. I have several albums-worth of my grandparents' photos scanned in to my computer, and more to be done. I am looking for a free website that I can use to share these photos with my extended family. I would like one that I can create multiple albums or subfolders within my own account so I can separate events, etc, and one that would store them at full resolution so people can download them and print them however they choose. Does anyone have any experience with this? I know of Flickr and Picasa, but have not used either personally yet. I do use Photobucket for other stuff, but I got a virus from there once so I don't want to use that for this.

Snapfish you can't download them, but they do have the capability for multiple albums and sharing- and they can mail prints or download them to local stores for pick up.

The one my cruise group is using is called smugmug.com - but I don't have any experience with it. Apparently everyone in the group can upload AND download. with that one.

Picasa is wonderful but I do believe there are some data limitations. Picasa will allow you to do all of the things you listed. Let me know if you want me to show you.

I personally don't like Snapfish. Smugmug is great, but it's not free. I figure all the free ones will have data limits - I suppose I just need to try it out. I have used Picasa for photo editing so I'll give their albums a try to see how it feels.

I think Shutterfly doesn't have data limits...you can't download, which I supposed is an issue, but I have had really good service with them....
