Online Dining Reservations

Can anyone advise when making an online dining reservation how to request a high chair? When booking do I include the baby in the # of people? Also we will have a 2 year old as well, do I just tell them when we arrive that one of the kids only needs the toddler meal?

Lastly I remember something from our 2012 trip about an extra charge for groups of 8 or more (like the tip went from 15 to 18%) but I can't find anything about this now, does anyone know about this?

I have always included babies in my count when making reservations at WDW. I have never requested a high chair and they have always had one available.

It is pretty conventional in the USA when dining that an 18% gratuity is added to your bill automatically for "large groups". Large usually means groups of 6 or 8. Since it is common practice to tip 15-20% in the USA, it is no big deal - except when you have poor service and would prefer to tip lower than 18%.

The only time it becomes an issue is when restaurants do something I think is wrong and give a line for an "additional tip". If you were not aware of the built-in gratuity you can end up tipping servers twice. Once through the "additional tip" that appears to be a regular tip, and once through the built-in 18%. So I also scan the bill for the built-in tip when I have a large group.
