Online Check-In

10 days before your arrival date you can check-in via the DVC Members website. On-line check in is suppose to make check-in faster for you and reduce the work load for Disney.

There have been mixed reports of it's success. We used it twice and both times we had problems.
 
we just returned from HHI and used the on-line check in. It worked perfect. I just logged on and went to my vacation and there was a link. When we arrived it took all of 1 minute to get the keys and head to the beach.
We were also lucky and got all of our request--close to our friends--good views--and birthday balloons waiting in the room. It was perfect! :banana:
 

We are wondering if you pay for the dining plan when you check-in online...Anyone have experience with DVC, dining plan add-on, and online check-in?
 
I've used on line check-in with DDP twice. When you go on line to check in, they ask for a credit card just like when you check in in person. When you actually check in they ask if you want to use the credit card on file for the dining plan. Pretty easy, although I don't see it saving much time. On both of my past two visits, I only saved a few minutes over my guests who had a separate room, but couldn't use on line check in.
 
We are doing a split stay. When we move to the BWV we have some requests listed on our ressie. However, we are going to the parks first and probably won't check in until 1:30. Do you think we stand a better chance to get our requests if we check-in on-line?
 
We are meeting friends there who have hotel reservations at the Contemporary. Is online checkin just for DVC condos or also for regular hotel reservations?
 
I did online check in today and it was easy to do but kinda confusing. It had a room request section but wouldn't let me request a room. I call the resort reservation number and they told me to look for a 1-800 number on the bottom of the page and they could help me. :confused3 So I'm checked in but never able to request the building I wanted.:sad2:
 
On-line check-in is actually a feature for the regular CRO resorts, the DVC is just using it. That's why the special request section is generic and not really related to the types of requests that would really benefit DVC Members.
 
We did online check-in in March when we stayed at POP Century. It was very easy just verify information, add credit card info, fill in the blanks.
When we arrived we only had one person in front of us in the Online check in line but the regular line was winding back and forth a couple of times.
