This is my first time doing a midnight check-in. Before, we've stayed at Disney before the cruise and didn't have to worry about PAT. What do I need to know going in? What order would you do things? We will be picking our PAT, booking the BBB, Royal Court Royal Tea, but no excursions. Any advice you have would be much appreciated!!

I'll be watching this thread. I've been on a Disney Cruise before but I'm having amnesia. Ha!

If you don't mind me piggybacking on this thread, I have an additional question people might be able to answer. I'm cruising with my parents who have not sailed before. My check in date is 6/12 and theirs is 6/27. What is the likelihood we'll be able to get the same PAT if I check in earlier than them? I'm not too worried. I'll be on the ship regardless, just wondering.

At times are Eastern USA time. For existing cruisers the following is the quickest way.

About 11.55 log into DCL website.
Go to >castaway club.
Then >my cruises.
Wait for this current cruise to come up and be displayed on >my cruises.
00.00 Internet time hit your > reservation number.
Then I say go to > my activities and book >BBB Palo brunch Royal court tea. - if you were doing port adventures book them.
Then go to >my online check in.
Full out the information there to get your PAT on the process.
Sometimes > my on line check in, may not come up at 00.00 it may come up, up to three hours later!

Doing OLCI first will have little benefit IMHO you may find its not up for a while, but if it was you will most likely get the same PAT, it's only different castaway club levels on their booking days 15 apart who will typically see PATs slip a lot, delaying 15 minutes is unlikely to loose time on a PAT. Enjoy your cruise!

they may get a different one, but ask at port if you can board together.

I would follow DF's advice and like it has been mentioned, PAT check in hasn't been working properly for a lot of folks at midnight so don't panic, just wake up early and log in again at 6 or 7 am and you can still get a good time

I hope you don't mind me jumping in here to as my check in date is this Sunday and I also wondered the same

As I'm in the UK does this mean a 5am wake up call for me to ensure I get palo, BBB, port adventures and a good PAT?

Thanks

Disney Fantasy is exactly right. I was able to do all of my excursions and adult dining at 12 am EST but not get my PAT until hours later. It was extremely frustrating since I wanted as early as possible.

Last night those of us trying to check in could not book either check -in nor excursions until about 2 a.m. It was most frustrating and I bet there were many tired people at work today.

I know that everyone has an overwhelming urge to immediately check-in at midnight. Everyone is afraid that they might lose out on booking an activity if the they do not. I was on a Star Wars cruise in April. It was my first cruise and it was sold out. Since I had read about others having problems checking in at midnight, I did not bother. I checked-in at 4:30 am (my normal wake up for work). I was able to book BBB, Palo Brunch, Palo dinner, Royal Tea, and several excursions. I also got a PAT of 10:45.

If you anxious that you might miss out on something, do the midnight thing. Just letting you know that you might not have to.
