Online check-in for split stays

Good morning Disboarders

I have an upcoming stay at vgc and it is for two nights on two seperate memberships. I already requested for a continuing stay and did online check in thru the app for the first night.

My question is should I do online check in for the second night as well when it opens up tomorrow? Does this affect anything in any way or is it completely unnecessary? The main goal is hopefully to stay in the same room. TIA!

My experience is with WDW only, but I'd check in for the 2nd stay as well. I just like to get the formalities (credit card entry, etc.) over with in advance.
