Online Check-In for Canadians ?

Hi there !

This summer I will be staying at the All-Star Movies Resort. I am from Canada, therefore I will not receive my MagicBands in the mail .

Are Canadians allowed to use the Disney online check-in system, or is it only for people in the United States?

If we are allowed, since my MagicBands will be shipped to my hotel, where do I get them?

I don't know the answer to your question about restrictions on online check-in, but regardless of if you do or do not do it, you would pick up the magic bands at the front desk. Even if you do online check-in, there is no guarantee that you would be allowed to skip it anyway.

You still need to go to the front desk to pick up the MB. On line check in will speed up your check in process.

We are Canadian. We always do online checkin, however, we've never been texted our room number. I believe it does say that texting is for American numbers only.

However, sometimes they have emailed or texted us after we have checked in, but before our room was ready to say "please see the front desk", which is code for......"Your room is ready. Go to the front desk and get in line so we can tell you your room number."

We are Canadian and always do online check in with no issues. Our customized magic bands are ready at the front desk for us to pick up when we get there. I have been texted a room number once before, when I stayed at the GF in 2010, but that was the only time I got texted about my room.

I tried online checkin for the first time recently and while we haven't actually left for our trip yet, there was a spot to confirm email, so I'm hoping they will email the room number since texting is off the table. The other resorts have all emailed us our room numbers after we checked in, so that might be the way to go for you as well (providing the email address during online checkin and leaving the cell number space blank.

We do online check in, and pick up our magic bands from front desk. When you do online check in there is a place to enter your email.
For some reason email is delayed. 2 yrs ago at Poly we were in our room for 3 hrs when we recieved the room ready text! The front desk did say email takes longer. So if your room isn't ready at check in and you go to a park you can always go to guest relations and ask them to phone resort to find out if your room is ready.
