Online booking question

I want to accomplish 9 nights in a GV from 12/15-12/23. If I book 1 week at the 11 month booking window, do I have to book a separate 2 night reservation online, or can I do something when I book the first 7 nights that indicates that I want to continue this reservation and add to the booking on the appropriate days. I know if I was calling, I could book the week and tell them I was going to continue the reservation, and then the next day I could call and add a night etc., but can I do virtually the same thing online, or do I have to call MS for that?

It makes a big difference if you can't add to the booking right at the 11 month window at the online time for the extra days when you are talking about a GV.

You can't modify a reservation on-line. If you book the other nights on-line, you will have multiple reservations.

You can only call but it really doesn't make a difference at 11 months that you can't do it online as long as you get the first 7 nights. Those will be the key and then you'll be fine getting the rest as long as you call before 7 more days have passed and before the last days you want have opened up for the 11 month booking window.

You are going to have to call the next day and add the 8th night, then the 9th night the next day. It wouldn't work to make separate reservations online because you would have to wait until 11 months from the 8th night.

Once you,book the first 7 nights at your 11 month window, call MS a few days later and ask to modify your reservation to add the other two nights. Since you will have your room, you won't have a problem extending it.

It would be nice if we could modify a reservation online but in the end since it ends up being no different than what you would do if you called from the beginning it still remains slightly easier since you can book the first 7 days online before you call in a couple of days to add the remainder.

On January 10 I called to book 10 days at OKW starting December 10. I could only book 7 days. I was told I'd have to call up each day for the next 3 days, adding a day every day. I was told I could not do this on line.

Yes, and I do agree that booking a week at a time is nice, but we rarely go for only a week. Oh well. Because we are going over the holiday, I've decided to scrap the idea of a GV at AKV, and I'm booking a 2 bedroom instead. At the same time, I'm booking a GV at OKW and will start that reservation the day after I book the first 3 days of my AKV reservation. Then at the 7 month window, I'll try to move one day at a time from OKW to AKV. We really do want to stay at AKV, but I don't have enough points there to do what I want at this time, so I have to rely on the 7 month window. This way, I KNOW I'll at least have the OKW GV if I can't add on to the AKV reservation at the 7 month window. Now, as much as I hate to even think of doing it, I wonder if I need to "walk" the GV reservation from Sunday even though I don't need it until Wednesday. I kind of think I might have to do that....UGH! I never thought THAT would ever come out of my mouth!
