One way flights

Hi!

I know this is a silly question, but we are looking at booking JetBlue Syracuse to Orlando (live in Ottawa)

Our travel dates are October 29, returning November 5.

Jetblue hasn't opened November dates yet!

Should I wait until November opens up to book return flights?

Or should I go ahead and book one way flights from Syracuse to Orlando and then book one way flights Orlando to Syracuse once jetblue opens November?

Any help would be appreciated!!

I'm experiencing the same thing with Southwest in August. I went ahead and booked our flight down and will book the return as soon as it's possible. I got a good rate, and it's not as if there's any discount for round-trip purchase, right?

I'm not sure about Jet Blue, Southwest is great in that if you have to change your plans you can apply the funds to another trip. Worst case scenario, the return cost will be so outrageous that I have to make other plans! (maybe Jet Blue or Air Tran......)

My experience with JetBlue is that it is no cheaper to book round trip.

I would book the trip down in order to secure a good seat. With JetBlue you pick your seat as soon as you pay (no charge). The seats in the front of the plane have more leg room.

I booked our trip down and back separately (no problems) but remember to choose your dates and flights wisely because they charge $40.00 per ticket if you need to change your flights.

I booked the direct flights at $84.00 each way leaving 28 Aug 2008 and returning 6 September 2008. The direct flight from Syracuse leaves at 4:00 p.m., the morning connecting flights were $174.00 each. We are flying back direct around 12:00 noon from Orlando.
