This is the trip that almost didn't happen...
Last June my boyfriend, mom, sister and myself went to the world, and had a great time! We even got engaged! Which was the greatest thing ever!!
So now...its been almost a year and I began getting the itch to go again! Well things are a bit tight so we didn't thing we would be able to go, but I was obsessively reading and I heard that lots of people were getting a uber great pin...I didn't have one. I was so sad...then one night on a whim I asked the hubby if he had any e-mails from Disney. He told me he did and he would forward them to me. Low and behold there was that magical PIN!! So with a little convincing I talked him into going in October! Hubby and I are going alone this time!!
I have never been in October! Halloween is our favorite holiday so this was a must do for us!! So after having a nice talk...one sided of course. We decided to go the 1st-8th!
At first we thought we would fly, but with the prices going sky high, we thought we would give driving a try, this would mean a few more days off work, but the hubby has never road-tripped it and he thinks it should be lots of fun. I have done it a few times...but with several sister and a van without air conditioning...blarg...I'm hopeful that this trip will be much better.
So now we have all the plans in motion...everything is set all I have left to do is buy our tickets for MNSSHP...and if we really want to the Dessert party!
Alright so hear are the plans. Oh BTW- we are going to be staying at POP, this is also a fist for the two of us.
Me-22-Disney lover, culinary/teaching student...hopefully by the time of the trip almost a mommy to be! lol
Hubby-28-Converted Disney lover-I think he just likes seeing me have fun! lol He works for a corporate company that owns colleges. He is my best friend and we are so happy to be going together!
9/29-When Hubby gets home from work, I will start the driving...I can drive for hours and not get tired...
9/30-so I'm hoping to get to Chattanooga by lunch, so we can have some rest...and switch driving. We then plan to drive all day, possibly nap once were inside FL
10/1-Wake up and Finish driving to WDW!!! Try to check in early at POP, then to DTD for lunch at Reglan Road at 11, we may just go to lunch first then try to check in. Then we will just have time to hang out and relax, or if were up for it we may check out the Disney Wedding pavilion and talk to a wedding planner! Then we have dinner at Ohana at 830 which is one of my top favorites! Then home to POP for sleep!
10/2-We don't really do much for breakfast, just some oj and a poptart or something like that, and since we will have the car we can go shopping/bring food from home for this. We are going to wake up about 730-830...this is our norm. We are going to head for Hollywood studios. We have a lunch reservation at SiFi Diner at 1130...hopefully we can get in a bit earlier. In the morning I want to hit TOT and RRRC!! Those are my most favorite rides in the whole park. I am going to try to get hubby on at least one of them, but he is mostly a chicken. lol My guess is he will either nap or play on his phone well i'm riding them. lol Then after lunch we have to go on star tours, and Indiana Jones, those are my only requirements! lol From there we will see where we are and maybe do TOT again. We have dinner reservations at Brown Derby at 455, which gives us the fantasmic package for the 800 show! I love fantasmic! Well were waiting for Fantasmic, I would really like to watch the Beauty and the Beast show, its my favorite movie! Then the Park is open late so we are gonna spend the rest of the night there, and try to get in as many rides as I can!
10/3- Again were gonna wake up around 730-800 and just chill in the room. The plan for today is Epcot during the day then Magic Kingdom for extra magic hours. In Epcot we want to do a few seminars because we will be there for F&W! I am a culinary student so I am so excited for this! Were not going to be eating around the world because I got us reservations for LaCeller! At 1215! We are just going to have a relaxing day around the worlds, and ride a few rides...have a few drinks ;-) lol Then we have dinner at 630 at Cape May, which is the hubby's favorite! After dinner, were gonna head over to MK for extra magic hours! (this trip is odd because usually my first day in the parks is at MK and its during the day, this trip its the second and its not even a full day...but I'm not too worried because were spending lots and lots of time there later in the week. After lots of rides, and the mandatory Dole Whip its time to go to bed!
10/4- Were going back to Epcot today! Because there open late! Were gonna walk around the world and eat snacks at the F&W fest then we have a 900 dinner reservation at Artist Point So my thought is we will just bring some nicer clothes with us and keep them in the car, and when we leave Epcot, we can change in the car-or once we get to the hotel change in there bathrooms, and then stash the clothes back in the car before dinner. I am so excited to be able to eat all this good food on this trip! So glad we picked the DxDDP! After dinner back to the hotel and sleep...if its not cold or im too tired..swimming might be in order.
10/5- Today is Animal Kingdom! Like lots of families...mine didn't really see the whole point of AK so we didn't really spend a whole lot of time there. So Hubby and I have decided we need to spend an entire day hear! We will be having lunch at Yak & Yetty our resi is for 11 so hopefully if we get in a opening, and go on the safari first that will just put us in time for lunch. Then explore the rest of this forgotten park...lol Dinner is at 620 at Jinko Which is amazing. AKL used to be my home resort when I was on the DVC, but the Ex got that so now were just trying all the other hotels and seeing if we want to do that again or if it makes sense to just get pins and use those. IDK...whole other story. But last summer was the last time we stayed hear, only one night but it was totally great! So going back should be great! Then after dinner were gonna head back over to MK for EMH! if were not too tired...if we are then were gonna head back to POP instead and hit the hay!
10/6- Today is the MNSSHP!!! I can't wait! We will be spending the entire day in the MK. All morning were just gonna chill at the park, and ride the rides. Nothing to crazy! Lunch will be at Kona Cafe!...oh Polly how I love thee...lunch is at 11...starting to see a pattern...lol and then back to the park we have dinner at 5 in GF at Narcossees...which I am most excited about. Then back to the car to change for the Party! Then to party the night away Disney style! Then to bed for our tired little feet! lol
10/7- We will probably sleep in today, then were headed to HS for lunch at 11...were eating at Mamma Melrose...not super excited for this one but it should be interesting! lol Then just ride the rides and watch the shows till about 530-600...for dinner we have reservations at California Grill! there at 755! I can not wait! then if its not terribly late after dinner...prolly will be we want to go to DTD...but bed would be alright too...lol
10/8-Today is a sad day, we check out of POP, and pack the car back up. We will be spending the entire last day at MK. We have lunch at the Grand Floridan Cafe at 11...lol again. Then dinner at 7 in the Castle! this is a special dinner for us because this is were hubby proposed last summer! I am most excited for this so I though it would be good to end the trip on this high note! After dinner...if we have done all the rides and everything we want...we may go to DTD instead of closing the park. I really want to get to DTD again...its actually one of my favorite parts. Tonight we will be staying at my parents rental house just for the night.
10/9- Hopefully we will get up and take a swim...they have a great pool!, relax and then start the drive back home...I would like to make it in one day but we have tomorrow if we need it...
10/10- Extra day of driving, I have the day off school...the hubby might have to call in...but I'm hoping to be home on Sunday.
