I have a ressie for next month, and a wait list for where I'd really like to stay. My wait list is for standard view, and I know there are more units of preferred view, so there would be a better chance of getting one based on sheer metrics. That said, I'd be short 10 points for the preferred view. Can you prepurchase the one time use points to have in your account? Or if you find what you are looking for can you purchase the one time use points on line, and book on line? Or will a wait list automatically purchase OTU points?

OTUPs can only be purchased at 7 months or less. They cannot be purchased online. You have to call MS and use the OTUPs at that time to make a reservation. The wait list will not purchase OTUPs for you of it matches. You need to have the required number of points in your account (borrowing if need be) in order for a wait list match to be confirmed.
