One room at BC vs. 2 rooms at POFQ

I'm debating between Beach Club thru Expedia and POFQ with adjoining rooms thru Disney. Both are roughly the same price. We have 5 in our party so we would need 2 rooms in a moderate. Any opinions would be appreciated!

I vote for the two rooms at POFQ. I have done 5 in one room and it is just too much. Eventhough our time in the room was limited, it was just too many people, not enough drawers to put clothes etc.

Find the POFQ FAQ thread and you will find that it is a great resort.

Good luck!

If it's just parents and 3 kids, go for the BC. If there are more than 2 people over 16 years of age, I would go with 2 rooms. The extra bathrooms will come in handy with more adults.

I second Robin's advice. Keep in mind if you go for the two rooms, that connecting rooms are considered a request and not guaranteed. With our family (five plus and infant) we stay in one room in a deluxe and have never had any issues with space.

Thanks for the input - we have 2 adults, and three kids ages 18, 12, and 9. Which pool do you think the kids would like better? That's probably one of the biggest factors I would consider.

Of course they would prefer Stormalong Bay at the BC. It's the best resort pool on Disney property. The pool at POFQ is really babyish and I don't recommend it for parents of older children. Have you considered CSR? It's a moderate with a great pool.

IMO, you have 3 adults and 2 kids which makes one bathroom problematic.

No comparison between the pools, especially for older kids. My family of 5 (youngest 11) would actually vote for one room at the BC b/c of the pool and the location. The teens can easily go to Epcot or MGM alone without being gone forever b/c they were waiting on a bus.

I have to tell you, we just stayed at YC with me, DH, three kids (20, 17 and 17, two girls, one boy) in one room. My son did not fit on the daybed, so we brought an aero bed for him. The kids slept one on bed, one on daybed and one on aero bed. No problems. We just put the aero bed in the corner in the morning. The bathroom thing is overrated. We had absolutely no problems. The double sinks are outside the bathroom. So two people can get ready outside while one showers. You just have to be organized.

I agree that CSR would be better if you decide to go moderate. My kids like it a lot.

I just stayed at the YC w/ 5, 27 year old women (1 was 3 months pregnant and she slept on the daybed). I am sooooo gald we chose the YC. We had no problems w/ space or sharing the bathroom. The location can not be beat and SAB is amazing.

BC all the way - walk to Epcot, MGM, Boardwalk, many dinning options, and SAB is the best. I have also shared a room at BC with three other woman and we had no problems with clothing space or bathroom crowding!

go for the 2 rooms at pofq. 4 double beds, 2 tvs, 2 bathrooms, a door for privacy.
