One Resort Owners - What resort would you buy as an Add On?

BCV for sure. We own at VWL but I love the BCV as well. Totally different atmostphere/theming but I love it. We'll add on at some point.

I picked BCV. I am a BWV owner and picked it based entirely on location. BCW has about the same ..

However, I keep hearing folks talking about OKW, so I go back and forth about checking that out as well..

I own at BWV and have always told my DH that if they ever built a monorail DVC I was adding on. He knew that when we married and knows that when they open sales for KT that we are adding on 75 points or there about.

Well, I couldn't vote, but I can share our thought process when we went from one resort to our second one.

We looked for a very different resort experience than our original purchase at VWL. We found that BWV provides a nice contrast from the laid-back atmosphere of VWL. So by alternating locations it helps keep WDW fresh for us as they are very different vacations at each location.

I didn't vote because the first add-on we get will be GCV. But out of the choices given I would pick VWL because there is no better themed resort at WDW. The lodge truly has a special place in my heart and although I don't own there yet, I hope to own points there someday...

We currently have 340 SSR points. I would love about 150 VWL points so I can book those early weeks of December. Don't stand a raindrops chance in **** otherwise. I also LOVE the BCV. We have never had trouble booking a villa there though, so I don't know if I would want an add-on. Oh what the heck, bring it on! I'll take another 150 there too. Vero Beach would be great too, we could stay there when we visit my parents. Their house is getting too small for the boys.

However, it's not the original purchase that is keeping me from adding on, its the dues. I don't want to pay anymore than I already am!

I voted for BWV because that is my favorite resort, however as a West Coaster I would have voted for GCV, why not on the list???

I also didn't vote as we own two - BWV and HHI. We owned BWV first but needed additional points and were looking for something a little different. We loved HHI and wanted the summer 11 month booking advantage so we went for that for our add on. I routinely use some of our HHI points though for our WDW vacations too, but still get a week during a summer month at HHI.

HHI is a totally different vacation from WDW that we adore, however it still has its Disney touches that our whole family really enjoys.

I voted for the Contempory, but I think it will most likely be GCV. I realized after our September trip that I cannot go to DW in the summer. With our son approaching school age we will have to have a base somewhere other then Florida for summer vacations.

I voted for the Contemporary because DH and I both the Contemporary Resort. We stayed there twice before DVC. The Contemporary just says Disney in a way the other hotels just can't match.

However, we would also be very tempted to add on to our home at BWV because we love it so much. However, our bi-annual trips to HH right after Thanksgiving makes adding on there seem really possible too.

Just think, I've only got 9 more months before my next inocculation for add-on-itis. Must...resist...must be strong...must not ...call guide. I guess I better go read threads about long hallways, chipped paint, dirty glasses (I mean styrofoam), slow busses, etc.

I voted for HHI to give my DH a break from the amusement parks and so we can be near a beach and golf courses. It is also nice since we are from NY and we could drive there and could also use it as a stopping point to and from WDW if we decide we ever want to try driving to WDW.
