As the title suggests this is our first holiday together ever!

DOH and i have been together for 10 years, he is self employed farmer so very difficult to get away but now we have 2 little ones we are making a change!
I have been watching the price on this holiday for six months, and have finally taken the plunge with the 30% discount.

So the cast Me (34) have wanted to go to disney for ever!
DOH (44), DD (4) loves all things disney! & a very head strong, mobile DS who will be 19 months!

We are travelling overnight from Hull to Zeebrugge by ferry on Sunday the 10th of June, (we live 30mins from Hull ) staying 4nts at the Sequoia Lodge in a Montana room and i can't wait :dance

So far i have become a shareholder & bought DS some beautiful dresses princess: but will she wear them? ( not a fan of dressing up!)

So far the rest of the plan is a little sketchy!

We plan to make the most of EMH & then take it easy round the parks- and i'm a little undecided on whether to have a little trip into paris or not as i have never been, seems a shame to go all that way and not see the Eiffel Tower ???

For lunch will just grab some snacks but would like some nice sit down meals in the evening its a treat for us too!!!!!

Thinking Cafe Mickey , Inventions, Annettes & Hunters grill ???

What is the earliest you would go for a evening meal without missing stuff as in when would the parades finish ???

Any thoughts & Tips for my Trip Plan are very welcome thanks peeps!

Sounds like you've got a great trip planned :goodvibes

Probably best to wait for the park schedules for parade times, but the main parade will probably be around 5pm. So you could make arrangements for meals just after, and if you're thinking table service you can book in advance to avoid the queues.

I think the parks are to be open later than normal due to the 20th celebrations, but it hasn't been announced how much longer yet.

I'm sure you'll get everything sorted once we get a feel for times etc when the new season starts in April :)

:wave2:

what princess dress have you bought DD then cant wait to see them?

Thanks Miss Poppins will definately book !

Hi Tink 1989 I have bought DD Rosseta dress because its pink! didn't think she would go for tink green! cinderella because we went to cinderella panto! & Minnie Mouse dress & headband in pink because she watches Mickey mouse clubhouse on loop! all new disney store via Ebay :)

It sounds like you are going to have a great trip:goodvibes

Don't forget that as you are driving you can pack lots of drinks/snacks in the car to take into the park with you.

Every year when we have been the timings for parades/shows have been slightly different. Normally in June the parks close at 7 with the parade starting between 4 and 5, and we have booked dinners in the village or hotel for 6/6.30. As has already been said this, year the parks are meant to be opening longer with a new nighttime show(which I'm imagining will take place just before park closing although no guarantees), so I'm not sure what we will do. I am thinking about perhaps having some sit down lunches and then just grabbing cs in the evening to fit around what we want to do. Then having big meals in the evening on other days and accepting that we won't see everything on those days.

Woo hoooo!! Yayy to finally getting to do the holiday you want... hope you have a really lovely time!

With regard to your Paris question - I know what you mean that going all that way its a shame to miss it - but actually, its not really that far and it is a big chunk out of your Disney time, particularly on a first visit. You could perhaps come back to Paris on a weekend either leaving the children with family, or when they are a bit older? (not saying you shouldn't go, everyone has different mileage on this!) I know a 19 month old boy might struggle in Paris, because if you want to do the sights, it will be difficult for him to have much space to run around. Another few years and it would be a lot easier...

(Hope you don't mind me saying all that, feel free to ignore completely, but I felt I had to say what I thought!)

Yayy to all your dress purchases, I so wish I could put DS in a dress, I HATE not being able to!! Heehee..
