Okay, my bff Matt goes to school in Atlanta, and he will be arriving a day late for my bday, most likely on a greyhound....does Disney do Greyhound pickups or what? How will he get to ASMu?

Any idea anyone?

Disney only does off-property pick-ups at the airport.

No, Disney does not pick up at any Greyhound station nor Amtrak station. He can either rent a car, have someone in your party pick him up or take a cab.

I would suggest his arriving at the station in Kissimmee as opposed to Orlando. It will be closer to Disney. :)

Perhaps it was this person who gave us the hint about Kissimmee, but that's what our friend did a few years ago and took a cab. Everything went well.

Do NOT arrive at the Orlando bus depot, it's in a BAD part of town.

It's easy enough to take a cab from Kissimmee--probably about a $30+ tip fare.

(Information only) He could take a short cab ride or (?) take the Lynx buses from the dreaded Orlando bus station to Orlando Int'l Airport and then use Magical Express for the rest of the way. He would need to make a reservation for the latter for his approximate time of arrival.

It would be at least two transfers by bus to the airport--best guess is four hours in transit time total. The cab ride from the bus depot to the airport would cost more than from the bus depot to WDW. If he came into the Kissimmee depot it would be able half the fare to get to WDW as the Orlando one.

he said it is cheaper to go to Orlando....by like $26 dollars....and he is a college student...so $26 is a lot to him....trying to figure cab and stuff, its hard....

Some more guidance would be greatly appricated

I would think that would still work out to be cheaper to take the bus to Kissimmee -- when you factor in the cab from the bus station to ASMU, wouldn't it cost more to take the taxi from the Orlando station?

I'd call one or two taxi companies and ask what the rate is from each one, see how the totals compare.
