One of the downsides to losing weight

:sick:Hello, I agree, I am missing the insulation. Lost 60 pounds since my Lapband surgery in June. I am cold a lot more these days!

Also, another downside (or upside) have to keep trying on my clothes to see which ones look ridiculous.

Congrats on the weight loss!
I hear you, I've lost 93 in the past year and a half and freeze!
Cuddle Duds and UnderArmour cold gear are my friend.
I wear an under layer now almost every day. I went to a bridal shower earlier in the day, I froze my fanny off! Came home to defrost in a hot shower.
Tonight it is about 35, we went to a casual dinner. I'm wearing CuddleDud pants and cold gear top under a pair of heavy sweats and a hoodie sweat shirt. It was the warmest I had felt all day. :cloud9:

congrats on the weightloss. I sure wish i could lose my 60 pound fat jacket-lol! I live here in so. calif so I really need to lose it soon:goodvibes

Never happened to me. I am just as cold now as when I was when I was really thin. I guess it just depends on how cold natured you are.

But that isn't the point. The real point is , major contrats on the weight loss. I am in the process right now, and I hope I have as much success.

Just go and buy yourself a nice new smaller size coat and have fun with it.

PS. How did you do it? any certain diet?

oh I know! I lost 135 pounds almost 4 years ago and I am always cold. I am sitting here in a 68 degree house writing this while I wear a down jacket. Brrrrrrr!

is that you lose a natural insulation layer. I could have used that today. :rotfl2:

Yes, and when you go into your closet to find a sweater, you realize that they all look rediculous on you because they are WAY too big!

No special diet, just portion control especially with sweets and creams and pasta. I also exercise, stair climbing mostly in the brutal cold, and running when it's warmer.

I'm right there freezing with you. I used to be hot all the time. Like, sleeping in a short nightie in the winter, with nothing but a sheet on top. I don't know if it's because i'm on the good side of menopause or because I've lost 50-lbs. i've dropped 3 dress sizes and I guess the extra layer fell off too.

I'm just thankful that I don't live in Minnesota or North Dakota or some other God forsaken iced over state. Georgia is bad enought!

I know the feeling. I lost 45lbs last year and I am freakin' cold. I lost weight 20 years ago and had the same problem. I have set my home heating at 72 and am still freezing. Good thing NY is so warm now-a-days :)

It's very true. During the past few years, I've worked in a classroom with a teacher who is always cold. I was constantly sneaking over to turn the heat down, while she was sneaking over to turn it up.

Since August 1, I have lost 48 lbs! (and still losing). I recently noticed that I haven't snuck over to turn the heat down all winter!!!!

:rotfl2::cool1: congrats!

It sounds like you all are coping with the cold - sounds like it's not too bad to put up with, considering the weight loss.

Good job to all of you "losers"! (Please take that in the congratulatory way in which it was meant.)

I don't miss my insulation except today its -16 F! Im at 106 lbs lost in a year and a half now and i never used to wear hoodies but i live in them or a snuggie!
Keep up the great work redlight and just remember you may be cold now but you wont be mega sweating in the summer (at least i used to sweat at the drop of a hat!)

Actually, muscle is warmer than fat. That is why men are so warm...and all the babies born in August, LOL!:lmao:
