One of the bites DD got is severely infected..

It's Tuesday afternoon and I just got back from my DD's house.. Went over there yesterday to spend some time with my granddaughter and continue our quest to get their house ready to go on the market..

DD had been complaining about her arm earlier when we talked on the phone and when she got back to her house after picking my granddaughter up at school I had her take the bandage off so I could look at it.. All sorts of yellow junk was literally oozing out all over the place so I had her call her DH to take her to the doctor..

No question about it - the bite (these are the human bites she received when she was attacked in work) is severely infected and the antibiotics they gave her in the ER aren't working.. So - they put her on an antibiotic cocktail (along with phenagren for the nausea & narcotic pain pills) and she has to be seen by the doctor every day this week! If it doesn't improve, she'll have to be hospitalized for IV therapy..

I made arrangements for someone to check on my DH and then I stayed overnight so I could take care of my granddaughter this morning (while DD went to the doctors) and get her on the school bus..

DD is very sore - can hardly move her arm - and of course will have to be out of work for awhile..

Somehow I just knew that the trip to the ER wasn't going to be the end of this.. Human bites are very serious - the doctors are quite concerned - and so am I..

Any extra prayers would be apreciated..

I posted a few days ago about the attack, but I don't know how to give you the link for it..

She's a supervisor in a residential group home for troubled teenage girls.. This was a new court-ordered resident that was attempting to escape the premises.. My DD and her co-worker were attempting to restrain her and she proceeded to bite my DD numerous times - as well as clawing her neck - and one spot on her face.. (I didn't even know about the spot on her face until I saw her yesterday.. )

The job is crazy, but she loves it.. "Mom" doesn't love it too much - nor does her DH - but as she says, "If I don't do it, Mom - who will?" I understand what she's saying, but I sure do worry about her....
