One of our party can't go what happens to ticket and Dining Reservation

So we are heading to Disney World next week and I found out yesterday that our nephew won't be able to go with us.

I have cancelled his park reservations and removed him from the room but since he still has a ticket linked he is showing up in My Plans.

Also what about Dining reservations do I just keep the existing ones and change the party size when I check in.

I know the value of his ticket will still be good if he doesn't use it but what do I do in MDE?

I would not touch any dining reservations, just let them know when you check in. Ticket is still good until he uses the first time, whenever that is. He may have to pay a price difference if he doesn't use it til later down the road. Just because he is showing up linked to you in MDE, I don't believe should impact your trip.

All you need do with ADRs is as you suspected, merely tell them upon checking in that you're one less.

Adding one could be problematic, subtracting one is no issue at all.

I agree with PP. Don't touch anything in MDE regarding your nephew, especially as your trip is so close. As long as he has no park or room reservations you are good.

For dining you do the check- in in the app 20mins prior to reservation. It asks you to confirm your party size at that time. I have added and deleted often this past year with NO issues.

You can move his ticket for a future date . If you do you may have to pay more . However you can just look for future date at same price but don’t forget to move it again if needed. If you don’t move it it disappears and you have to call to have them find it. They will say a one time change . It’s just easier to move now so you can see it . I think you move it in the APP .
