I've heard a lot of talk about throw away rooms and I'm not a fan. I do however, like the perks of an onsite stay. We are planning a US day on 12/19. I expect it to be very busy and express passes will run my family of 4 $600 (ouch!). I can get a room at Royal Pacific for $375 and get that perk + some. The catch is that we will be staying at WDW Beach Club during that time and I really don't want to interrupt my reservation there. I'm thinking about taking an overnight bag and heading over for just the night. We can do a late evening check-in and then already be onsite and ready to go in the morning. Any thoughts?

I have ZERO problems with getting a room at RPR while also having a room at WDW. Heck, you could even pack a little bag and stay there! Or you could pack a littler bag with a swimsuit and not sleep there, but enjoy the parks and then resort before going back to WDW to sleep.

Remember that you get the perks from the moment you check in until midnight of the day you check out, so IF you wanted *two* days at Uni you could head over early that first day and have fun until parks close or midnight of the next day.

Absolutely do it........

You can check in early am on your check in day and get 2 full days in the parks with EP both days if you wanted to upgrade to do both parks.

Well worth it.

Common practice now to do a one night booking while still booked elsewhere
