One night in Epcot, where would you eat?

I would do Nine Dragons for lunch. It's really quiet, great service and great food. If you're DVC, you get 20% off at Nine Dragons for lunch!

Do the Bistro for dinner.

I'm taking two 11yr old boys and I think they would like eating there.

IMHO, there is nothing wrong with San Angel. It is very beautiful, and our food has always been delicious! I'm not sure what problem people have with it. We also love Marrakesh, for the food and atmosphere!

Don't forget about Spoodles at the BW area. It is very good, and only a 10 min walk from the International Gateway. I've also heard great things about the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the YC.

I agree, we have eaten at San Angel countless times and enjoyed every single meal, food and service have always been very good. I enjoy the atmosphere, it reminds me of the Blue Bayou in Disneyland (inside the Pirates ride for that one), there's just something very cool about eating along a river, even a fake one! I am sure Bistro de Paris is wonderful, however, if the OP is that close to Paris, maybe that isn't so appealing to her. She did say she lives in Europe and is looking for a more American experience I believe.

I would really just stick with San Angel, there are actually quite a few people who do like it. Its not typical, Americanized/Tex Mex Mexican but they have a very good filet, the toritilla soup is amazing and the margaritas are quite good.

You could always venture over to the Boardwalk area, or one of the Epcot resorts. Cape May inside the Beach Club has a clam bake, can't get much more American than that. Its a pleasant walk, not far at all.

Nine Dragons is a must do for us every trip. Boo hoo, our last meal this upcoming trip (on January 5) will be there, probably the last for a year since they are going down for year long renovations starting January 6. We have not cared that much for San Angel, tried it twice for dinner (OOP too) and had poor service and cold food both times. We are trying Yachtsman this trip, I called yesterday as I was thinking about cancelling it and the CM at Disney Dining told me I was crazy if I cancelled it! So, since I just bit the bullet and added dining due to the holiday surcharges, we are also keeping Yachtsman and foregoing a TS on our arrival night! I just wish that there was an Indian restaurant in WS!

I have read only good reviews for Tutto Italia, can't wait to dine there. San Angel Inn has good food and is a lovely place to dine. I prefer authentic mexican, but I think this is going to be the closest thing for you. I am sure you will enjoy!

San Angel was a nice experience, the atMOUSphere being the biggest plus. There are lots of good options, but you have many of them at your fingertips where you live. I agree with Coral Reef, although usually booked. Marrakesh was a good experience for us and the restaurants in Japan look amazing. There is also the Boardwalk within walking distance of Epcot with Spoodles, Flying Fish and the Yachtsman.

I was going to recommend Le Cellier, but you said that they are booked. Have you tried calling back to see if they have any cancellations? I tried that on my last trip and was pleasantly surprised. (You say you live in England - does the Disney Dining toll-free number work overseas? It might not be worth it to call often if you can't call toll-free.)

I don't really have any other TS choices for Epcot - we usually go during Food and Wine festival and do very few TS at Epcot. I did have a good experience at Nine Dragons a few years ago (and they're not hard to get into!). And a pretty good experience at Rose and Crown. Otherwise, if we're at Epcot, we usually go to Sunshine Seasons - it's CS, but very good.
