One Night Deluxe?

We have a chance to add an extra night onto our November stay @ no charge for the room (C.C. Reward Points). We will be at OKW for 5 nights prior. We arent planning to goto any parks that day and we will have our own car.

Which Deluxe would you choose? I have not stayed at any of these. Choices are:

Poly Garden View
Grand Floridian Garden View
AKL Savannah View
WL Garden View

I would pick Poly or GF because they are the more expensive choices, and you might not want to pay for rooms there in the future. WL and AKL are the less expensive deluxes.

Of those two, I would pick the Poly because I love the Poly. GF has never appealed to me or my family, just in terms of the theming of the resorts.

I agree. While I like the rooms at GF, the rest of the resort just isn't as breathtaking as it is at the Poly.

I agree about being on the monorail. If you are only there for one night and want to go to the parks, I would go with a resort that has good transportation. If you just want to spend the day at the hotel, then I would add AKL to the list. WL is beautiful, too.

We love the GF -- lobby is beautiful, great pools, great dining, light & airy & big rooms, beautiful gardens, great atmosphere.

If you want to stay on the monorail, I would say pick whichever resort theme appeals to you more. You'll hear great reviews on all 4 hotels you listed here from people who really like staying at them.

Another vote for the Poly. You could hang out for the pool for two days, plus have a couple of great restaurants right there. I like GF, but for just one night, I'd pick the Poly.

I would take AKL Savannah. And that's where I plan for our next one nighter deluxe stay.

Vote me for the Poly! Since you will just be hanging out at the hotel you have the pool, the hammocks on the beach, riding the boat (it is suppose to take you to the MK, GF and back but they don't care if you stay on just for the ride), sitting on the balcony or patio people watching, O'Hanas, you can watch wishes on the beach with the music and words pipped in, and you can just ride around on the monorail for eating or shopping. But now I am assuming you are there before Thanksgiving and before the Christmas lights go up, if your trip is planned after the Christmas lights are up and I don't know exactly when they do that, I would pick WL. The decorations are spectacular and sitting in the lobby in front of the fire, listening to Christmas music, and admiring the decorations will definitely put you in the christmas spirit! Have a great time!

My Vote is for AKL

For as many people that love the Poly there are just as many that do not. Count me as anti Poly , It is the most overpriced Deluxe -- if you are not going to any parks it takes away its only positive , walk to TTC for Epcot and Monorail to MK.

AKL is beautiful - you have the best Breakfast in all of WDW at Boma , and the choice of Boma or Jiko two of the finest for dinner. The resort is so relaxing we spent two nights (3 days) there once without ever leaving the resort -- They have all sorts of daily activites posted on the board by the restrooms across from Boma , plus you have the Savannahs to view , not just from your room but from various overlooks and outside the pool area . I can personally sit on one of the overlooks in a rocker for hours.

I would put Wl second , another great resort.

If you are not going to any parks then get away from it all with one of those 2 instead of being on the monorail.
