One More Trip to WDW (Beach Club) Before the Baby Arrives!

Hi...I stopped in to your report because I love the Yacht & Beach Club. My family took 4 WDW trips when I was growing up, and we stayed at the Yacht Club 2 times and the Beach Club 1 time. It is the resort that feels like home to me. I liked the room pictures; either they have changed them since I stayed there last or the concierge has different decor, but it looks great!

We would eat at the Captain's Grille most mornings. It wasn't called that though; it was the Yacht Club Galley. The food looks to be about the same though.

I am enjoying your pictures and videos. :goodvibes

:welcome: to the world, baby Marie! party: Congratulations!!

Congratulations on your new baby girl! She is just gorgeous!! My family was at Beach Club the day she was born. Anyway I'm caught up on your TR and I love your pics from Epcot and BC with all the holiday decorations! Now I'm really wanting to go back for Christmas :goodvibes.

Thanks! Dh and I are going to the pin convention at Epcot in August and I am planning to take a break mid-day and go back to the BC lounge during the day to check it out. And, we will definitely eat breakfast there.

Awesome I'd love to go to that pin event. Tell Tom Coreless and John Rick from the Disney Pincast I said hello. I collect and trade Disney pins.

When I saw the first picture on your TR, I thought to myself, "Why does this guy look so familiar?" Then I clicked on the link to your previous TR and realized that your honeymoon TR was one of the very first TRs I ever read (back before I'd even joined the Dis). So excited to see this new TR!

First, just wanted to say congratulations to you and your wife on your new baby girl!!!

I'm really liking this TR because we have two trips scheduled at the end of this year (maxing out our APs). The first is in early November (for F&W) and we're staying at the Beach Club Villas! Second trip is in early December just to experience all the holiday things (MVMCP, CP, Osbourne Lights, etc.). This TR is a great preview for those trips and all the photos and video are getting me really excited for those trips!

Looking forward to more!

Thank you very much for following this trip report as well!

Well today is our Epcot day. This morning we all got up together to eat at Cape May Cafe Goofy's Beach Club Breakfast.

This buffet was really good. Lots to choose from and great character interaction. This is a great alternative to Chef Mickey's. And I think it's probably cheaper.

So after this great breakfast we walked to Epcot.

Again it's been so long since our trip I can't remember the exact order that we toured the park but I know we went to Soarin first. We also toured Spaceship Earth, Seas with Nemo and Friends, Journey into Imagination, Test Track, Grand Fiesta Tour, and Maelstrom.

Here's a couple pictures from those adventures.

Epcot-SE-07.jpg

Brandi with Marie, lol this is so karma, our new baby is named Marie

We always make it a point to see the Jammitors, they are one of my favorites.

Epcot-Jammitors-04.jpg

Check out the video we took of the Jammitors.

Also something we don't miss each time is the Mariachi Cobre at the Mexico Pavillion. I love their music.

Next we ate lunch at the Cantina De San Angel. We're very excited about the renovations they are doing to this dining location.

Epcot-07-Cantina-SanAngel.jpg

So after some more touring around World showcase we had the Candlelight Processional Package dinner reservations at Tutto Italia.
This was the first time we had eaten here, and we weren't dissapointed. The package give you a lot of food. This restaraunt is on the pricey side but well worth it. We would definitely eat there again.

After dinner we headed towards the American Gardens Theater for the Candlelight Processional. Mom, Dad, and I have seen this in 2005, this was Brandi's first time. The narrator this evening was Steven Curtis Chapman. He was excellent. We sat 4th row, left stage.

Epcot-CP-16.jpg

Here is two videos of the Candlelight processional, very good.

The Candlelight Processional is something not to be missed if you are at Walt Disney World during the holiday season.

So since we had the package we had access to the VIP viewing area. We were at the American Gardens Theater and the VIP area is on the opposite side of the lagoon. We only had maybe 10-15 minutes to get to the other side. We raced around the promenade through the crowd. Me being the Disney commando that I am pushed my parents and wife as fast as they could go. Sorry guys, lol. Don't worry I heard about it after the fact. Anyway we got there just as Illuminations was starting. This is a fantastic location to watch this show.

The 5 minute Holiday tag at the end is always spectacular and very moving!

This was a fantastic end to a great day! I was originally going to go see Yehaw Bob Jackson at Port Orleans Riverside but I was a little to tired this evening. So maybe next trip!

Hope you enjoyed this installment of our trip report. Coming up Day #6 Animal Kingdom, wet and cold. :)

Looks like you guys had a great day at DHS and another fab day at Epcot. The fireworks pictures are amazing

We've done the Candlelight Processional package a couple of times but I didn't know it includes access to the VIP viewing area. Is that something new?

We've done the Candlelight Processional package a couple of times but I didn't know it includes access to the VIP viewing area. Is that something new?

Yes it was a new offering that started last year. They might do the same thing in 2010. They didn't offer the VIP viewing area back in 2005. Then something else to consider, depending on which place you book or perhaps what tier of package you book the location is different. I believe there are three different VIP viewing areas set aside for the candlelight package users.

Looks like a nice day! Yummy-looking Italian food! I love the CP and Illuminations stuff...we are hoping to do that on our December trip this year! Good to know about the nice Illuminations viewing spot that's included with the CP package.

So Day #6 is our Animal Kingdom day. It had been raining on and off in the afternoon the last day or so. Well this morning was cold and rainy. But I was still game. My dad would meet me later on in the morning and my wife and mom we would meet later back at the hotel. Animal Kingdom is last on my wife's list and she was not about to get out in the rainy cold.

Before leaving, I headed over to the Beach Club Marketplace for some breakfast. I got a coffee and some sort of Apple pastry.

BC-Marketplace-01.jpg

So I took the bus over to Animal Kingdom and headed straight to Expedition Everest.

I love Expedition Everest

AK-Everest-07.jpg

The Chicken of Death was working but the Yeti was again in "B" mode. I haven't seen "A" mode since 2007.

AK-Everest-10-Chicken.jpg

After riding, my dad called told me he was on the way. So I checked out the animals in the Oasis around the tree of life until he arrived. I also had a nice conversation with a cast member from New Orleans. She was very nice.

Once my dad arrived we checked out Tough to be a Bug then Kilamanjaro Safari.

Here is our trek to see the show. Check out this video!

Next we went over to Flametree BBQ for lunch. This is our favorite counter service at Animal Kingdom. I'd like to try Yak and Yeti.

AK-29-Flamtree-BBQ.jpg

So once lunch was done, I rode Dinosaur, dad can't handle the ride. Then I can't remember the order but we walked around Pangoni Forest Trail and Festival of the Lion King show.

Well about that time we were done with everything we wanted to see at Animal Kingdom. Time to head back to the Beach Club. It was afternoon by this time and we all were a little hungry so we headed to Beaches and Cream. We just had to try this place out. We didn't have the appetite for the Kitchen Sink, since in a few hours we would be going to Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner so we opted for other ice cream treats.

Mom and dad shared a Bananna Split.

This evening we had reservations at the Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. We love this place and try to eat there each trip.

The Wilderness Lodge is beautiful during the holiday season.

WL-05-Lobby.jpg

We had to wait quite a bit for our ADRs. They must have been behind.

We had the Canyon Skillet for dinner. Always very good.

We had a great meal. It's sad that our trip is almost over. One more full day.

Next installment of my trip report Day #7
Magic Kingdom Morning, Epcot evening!

Stay Tuned!

Those treats at the beach club looks yummy. I am hoping to eat at Flame tree BBQ this trip. The food at whispering canyon looks goood also.

You got some really great pictures on this day. I really like the pictures on Everest. I love the picture at B & C with the LSU hat on the table.

Yep that's my dad. He's a big LSU fan. Me on the other, being a graduate of USL :) am more of a Ragin Cajun fan.

So in my last installement of my trip report I will discuss our Day #7 and Day #8. Our departure day #8 there is nothing much to say so I'll just add it here.

But Day #7, it was cold, overcast, and rainy. We have scheduled breakfast at Chef Mickey's Character Breakfast at the Contemporary. I love this breakfast. It was busy and we had to wait a little while and once our names were called they sat us in the back. It was kind of claustophobic but oh well, Bring on the food and Mickey. We got great interaction with the characters. Oh for some reason my mom didn't come to that breakfast.

After breakfast we went one last time to Magic Kingdom to see Mickey's Toontown before it's demolished for the Fantasyland Refurbishment.

We also rode Snow White's Scary Adventure and Mickey's Philharmagic. We also walked around the other areas of Fantasyland.

Dumbo to be removed.

So by then it was lunch time and we decide to get something from Cosmic Rays. It was pretty busy.

Chili Hot Dog for me!

And since we were in Tomorrowland I decided to ride the new Space Mountain one more time.

Good Bye Toontown and Good Bye Magic Kingdom. It was time for us to head to Epcot for dinner at Le Cellier.

So once we took the monorail to Epcot everyone else was tired so I toured world showcase by myself until the rest of the gang met me later for dinner.

Oh I always have to catch Off Kilter. I love Jamie and the guys' music. Tonight there was some of the substitute band members.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I met up with Earl from the "Trapped on Vacation" podcast and the Disney Podcast Network. I also met up with MattFromPA. Great to see you again Earl and great to meet you Matt. We will have to catch up my next trip down there.

So after hanging with the guys for a little while, it was time to make my ADRs at Le Cellier and meet up with the family.
We love Le Cellier and the the food was great as always.

By that time we were tired and walked back to the Beach Club. It was drizzling by then. We got to check out Illuminations fireworks from the Yacht Club boat dock. Great way to end out trip.

Day #8 we just got up packed and took the Magical Express to the airport for our flight home.

We had an amazing trip and an amazing stay. We are tentativly planning our daughter Marie's first trip to WDW for next October for WDW 40th anniversary celebration. She will be 15 months by then. I can't wait to slow down and enjoy the little details with her.

I hope you all enjoyed this trip report. Thanks for reading and looking!

I've really enjoyed your report. You did a fantastic job with the pics and videos! Thanks for posting them all.

Your baby is so cute! :goodvibes

Very nice last day despite the rain. I've only been to LeCellier once, but we loved it. I've tried on 2 other trips to get in, but no luck.

Your baby daughter is beautiful. Taking your child for the first time is the best!:thumbsup2

Great report! We took a pre-baby trip in July 2007, I was 7 months pregnant and it was HOT! My husband and I already had a little girl who was 2 at the time. We thought heading to Disney would be special for our last trip as a family of 3.
Congratulations on your little girl. She is beautiful!:cutie:
