One more skater before Sasha Cohen! Spoiler Alert!

She only got a 116 for her score in the free skate. She was in the 130 range for her US Nationals free skate..I think she's going to lose unless Irina falls down a couple times

poor sasha, she worked so hard and her short program was so beautiful. Hopefully she will hold onto the bronze.

Lisa,

You are right. She got smoked by Arakawa (Japan) and is now in 2nd place

Edited to add... Arakawa beat her score already

Guess her choice to skip two practices between the short and free programs did not work out well for her.

This is going to be the longest 20 minutes! :( You know, if Kimmie keeps her cool, she could really do well today.

I think Sasha has troubles. She'll be lucky if she medals now. :(

Sasha can never seem to hold it together for 2 programs. I was really hoping this time would be different.

Well, unless Kimmie puts together an unbelievable program, at least she is assured of a medal.

But you said PLEASE. The next poster was the one I was referring to. You had a valid request.

yea but it had a typo in it :rotfl2:

Topic - I was really hoping that Emily would somehow medal. Too bad for Sasha she'll probably bronze it, lets hope Kimmie kicks some butt

At least the US would medal. correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it expected we wouldn't even medal at all?

Kimmie only needs 123.96 to tie with Sasha. I can't find her national final score!

OK, so Sasha will get the bronze. Kimmie did a great program from the score. 6th at this point in her career is awesome! Her & Emily will be great anchors with experience for the team in another 4 years. :)

No, Kimmie didn't score very well. Still, I really thought Kimmie and Emily did themselves proud this Olympics. They both performed much better than many predicted.

I think they both look excellent for 2010 if they go for it. They both need to add difficulty to their programs however to get the points needed under the new scoring system.

Irina only needs to get 116.66 to beat Sasha & 124.64 to get 1st. Somehow I don't think that will be a problem for her. I wish that they would post her score!

OK, so I was wrong! OMG!!!

WOW! Sasha got the silver! Irina must have done poorly too, as she gets the Bronze.

Wow, just saw Irina's score...I was surprised by that. I wish they showed the event live! so annoying.
