One More Question

I'm not sure where to put this as it has to do with transportation, resorts, and possibly other topics but I figured I'd start here.

I know from last year you could hand over your luggage at your on property resort and they would transfer to DME who would transfer it to your airline and you pick it up at home. I remember a sign in the hotel lobby saying this was only possible for certain airlines. Does anyone know which airlines are participants with DME and CSR? Also I can't remember on the way to WDW if only certain airlines delivered luggage to DME who would bring it to your resort.

Basically, we are flying Northwest. We will tag our luggage before handing it to the minneapolis airport. Will we have to pick it up to give to DME or will it arrive at the CSR? On the way home do we have to shlep it to the airport or will CSR or DME?

I just got back from WDW and before we went we called DME and gave them the flight info and they sent us some tags to put on our luggage before we left home.. Once you check your luggage in at the airport as long as the tags are on the bags then you will not need to do anything else.. They will be delivered to your room.. We had a late flight and was told that they will deliver bags to your room up to 2 am.. Our came around 1:00 am.. I will try to find my papers that list the airlines that allow you to check in at the airport when you depart rather than doing it at the airport.. Some airlines are not included.. If yours is not included than depending on when you leave to go to the airport, if its early in am than after you check out you just take your own bags with you to the DME bus and when you get off the bus they will hand them to you.. you then have to check in at the airport.. if you have a later flight and want to do other things than you can have them store your bags and off you go to the parks.. they will tell you what time to be back for DME and then you just go to the window and retrieve your bags and then give them to DME and when they get to the airport they will hand them to you to check in yourself...

If yours is one of the airlines that you can check in at the hotel then you just check in right there and give them your bags and they will give you your airline tickets and take your bags.. You dont need to do anything else.. They will get your bags to the airport and on the plane.. You just retrieve them at your home airport..
