One more Developer Point Question...

Okay we have 20 Developer Points left from our AKV purchase for SSR stay...
I figured we can stay 2 nights in a studio during Adventure Season or Choice Season for 22 points- Can we use the remaining 20 points and then 2 points from our allotted AKV points? to complete the reservation? OR would we have to settle for just one night in a 1 BR for 20 points flat? Mind you, the "settling" would be for the one night NOT the 1 BR- LOL I would rather get 2 nights from it if we can- Thx for any help!

Yes, you can combine DP and your regular points as long as you have them available, and you are making the reservation at SSR at the 7 month mark (since AKL points can't be used there until that time).

I wish that there was a way to combine DP points. I will have 18 points left over that will go unused. Too bad there is no way for pool them as you would be welcome to the 2 that you need.

Awww Sandisw, that's sweet- That is exactly what would happen with us- 20 points going to waste if not used- I had asked if we could give them to another person who needed to add to theirs and was told they don't work that way-That is why I was asking- for us to add to it 2 points from our own points to complete the ressie... If we can do it then why wouldn't another member be able to? Is it just because they are not transferable? I amgoing to call our Guide tomorrow to see- Also, if it comes to us not being able to use them (time frame bad) could I make the reservation in someone else's name and they use them? (my SIL might be able to go) - Thx again

You can make a full night(s) reservation for someone else with your DP's, but you can't transfer which is why someone else can't use the 2 points (or whatever number that is left). The only way to use the odd leftover points is to combine them with your regular points.

So, technically, I could find someone who needs a 1 night reservation, book it for them, and ask that it be linked to their own reservation.

So Cool- Thx! So we can possibly do 2 nights w/o the kids lovestruc DH & I in Disney ) OR we can even do 2 nights and split stay to our own resort or another or just more nights there at SSR... OR we can add a few of our actual points (Good May 1st) and make the ressie for a family member, friend, etc to stay a couple nights... I am going to get to the drawing board and see what we can work out- This is so cool - I knew we'd love DVC! I just had heartbreak letting 20 whole points go to waste! Now we can somehow use them (and hand over a few more bucks to Disney in the process- LOL)
