One More Carry On Liquid Question

I think I have the new rules down, but just want to verify 1 last thing. If I buy a bottle of Coke at the gate, past security, and only drink half of it while waiting, can I bring the rest on the plane or do I need to throw it out before boarding?

Yes, you can. Check www.tsa.gov for what is and is not permitted.

Any liquids bought past security can be brought on the plane - half drunk or not.
