Normally my visits to DW with the boys are also with multiple other family members. This year, its just me. Both of my guys (16 and 10 at the time of trip) need wheelchairs to last the day, neither of them can functionally use the chair on their own (whether that be pushing the wheels themselves or driving a scooter). The eldest needs his more than the youngest, but if I don't have an option for him, I know we'll be in trouble by hour 2. Normally we rent at TTC so they can use them traveling to and into the park.. But I've ALWAYS had a second, if not third or fourth pusher there with me.
I'm really starting to freak myself out over this and wondered if there's any options I'm missing. I can't be the first person in this situation and I feel like I've over thought it so much that my brain is now incapable of coming up with a solution!
Any advice?

Unless you plan on growing another set of arms, I can't see a way for you to do this by yourself. How can you physically push 2 wheelchairs at one time? You need a second person. You can look into hiring a medical care giver but that would be incredibly expensive.

Something I would recommend is checking out the Ears for Each Other group on FB. There were some people who were potentially available for a similar situation for me.

When did Disney introduce wheelchair rental at the TTC? Historically, rentals have only been available inside a park, or at DS.
Most people are not aware wheelchairs are available at the Ticket and Transportation Center at Mickey’s Gift Station.
I don’t know how long exactly they have been available there, but at least since the early 2000s, if not earlier. I don’t know how many they have available there, but it had been limited number

Idk when they introduced it, its been there as long as I've been renting them (13 years). Definitely not only available in the park 🤷
There's a gift shop there as you walk up, I get one there every time and return it there so we have access to it on the monorail and walking to/from the park. Maybe it's a Disney secret that I'll regret sharing as they've always had them even when the parks themselves are out of rentals! 😂
