Woo Hoo!! Two Weeks!! :banana::woohoo::banana:

Just think....you will soon be in Disney. *Deep Breaths In...Deep Breaths Out*

Yay for 2 weeks! :yay: Eeeek for only having one more week to get everything ready!

You'll get it all done, just keep moving forward :thumbsup2

:cool1::banana::cool1: WOOT!! Congrats on being two weeks away!!!! :cool1::banana::cool1::banana:

Your life sounds a lot like mine right now...just keep swimming, just keep swimming!

Well, I guess it will happen, but it is going to be an interesting countdown till we get there!!

So let me catch you all up on a few, fun, updates! :thumbsup2

First, my 10 trading pins came in the mail!!

Disneypics008.jpg

From these 10 I found one surprise which I am keeping, because it "matched" another Tiki pin that I bought! It was completely unexpected, and I can't wait to see them together. Here is a photo of both pins, granted one is a very small photo!

I will be adding both of these Tiki pins to my camera strap. :goodvibes

In addition to the Tiki, I had found a new Monorail pin (lime green) and a Rock-n-Rollercoaster pin for DS7...

I made a trip to my favorite place, Target, and found cute comic books in the dollar section...

Disneypics010.jpg

These are perfect for the train ride!

I bought a copy of Toy Story 2 (the new released DVD) and The first Kingdom Keeper book. These will be gifts, too - but we may break out Toy Story 2 sooner! I am thinking we will have our TS marathon next weekend before I go.

As I am already falling asleep, guys, sorry to disappoint but I will be back tomorrow morning to finish my updates!!! ;)

Cute pins!!! I just bought a lot of twenty trading pins today off of ebay. I figure the kids will have a blast doing that this summer.

Now, you must read Kingdom Keepers, also. ;)

Get some sleep -- so you can finish updating tomorrow. popcorn::

These are great. I am going to get some for my classroom. My students, especially the boys, will love them, and I need all the help I can get in getting them to read more.

See how the DIS is furthering children's education all over the country. :teacher:

I keep thinking about reading a Kingdom Keepers book, but I have resisted so far. I don't want to have nightmares about my beloved Small World, and I am afraid it might ruin that and other things for me forever.

Oh, the books won't ruin any of the rides, I promise! The kids and I have read all three of them and just love them! :goodvibes

Jared got a gift certificate to Borders recently and he bought the first two Kingdom Keepers books with it. I'm in the middle of reading the first one - I borrowed it before he could even start it....... :rolleyes1

Very cute pins. That is just not something I have gotten into yet but I do seem some awfully cool ones on the boards.

Let me know if you read KK and recommend it. It's on my reading list but haven't gotten to it yet.

Hope you had a good night's sleep. You are in the home stretch before your trip!! :)

I saw those comics at Target, but I bought the invisible ink Toy Story game book instead. I may have to get some comics today.

Is the Kingdom Keepers series appropriate for 6 yr olds? Or is it more appealing to older kids?

Love the pins :lovestruc. Two weeks to go is very exciting :banana: All your hard work this week will be sooooooo worth it when you arrive in disney :goodvibes Has the reveal happened ?

SO I have gone back and fixed all the late night typos on my post from last night!!! :rolleyes1 I really was cross-eyed! But it was a long day, fun, but LONG. :goodvibes

We had a busy day here today! Considering that I was recovering from a Birthday party yesterday, I actually got up pretty early, headed out to Target (AGAIN!) and the grocery store. I made it back to the house to deal with the aftermath of left over “goodie bags” and such, as well as work out my projects which I would need for later today. I had quite a lot to do for the unveiling of the Disney trip! :stir:

I also started officially “packing” – pulling together items that I knew would not be worn, and items which I could pack ahead of time. I did laundry. We watched the mega thunder storm and rain roll through. And I worked like mad sneaking between games and activities during the day, because after dinner we had a plan... So while the boys were occupied, I was working on our Disney Countdown Calendar, and the card for the kids to learn about our trip in two weeks. Tonight, shortly after baths, we called the boys in to the kitchen for dessert. They came up and immediately noticed a crazy Disney poster that I had made. They were enthralled. So much so, that they didn’t notice the big envelope on the table! When they turned back around ready for brownies and milk, they laid eyes on this…

Here they are curious about the "poster" and then opening the envelope and reading the information inside…

While his older brother reads, DS5 now understands what is being said and the realization is dawning on him!

Disneypics014.jpg

About now, DS8 clicks with the Ticket and the invitation to spend 10 days at Disney!

Disneypics012.jpg

Doesn’t he look crushed?

So although we had originally planned for a one week countdown, tonight DH and I went ahead and let the boys know about the trip. We were going to wait until next weekend, but we decided that two weeks would allow me to have fun getting excited with them, and these two weeks will go by fast enough, I am sure. We wanted to have time to talk about plans and to enjoy some of the anticipation. And we definitely got that! I will post photos of the calendar I made tomorrow. Well close-up photos. The flash on the glass would make it hard to see... I have a variety of Disney photos, and then I cut out and added my two boys to the other image of a place in Disney. It is a hoot! It turned out really well, and I know they enjoyed it! :)

NOW, to CELEBRATE ONE week, we will have a Mickey Waffle brunch, and a Toy Stoy marathon weeekend! :yay: The boys were playing TSM on Wii today, but I have saved the movie (TS2) for next weekend! :ssst: DS7 was just saying today he wanted to see '2' So this will be perfect!

I have my shopping almost all done. I need to get it all organized by Sunday next. I have lots of boy gifts to wrap, for our family celebration next weekend. We are planning to give Birthday gifts to the guys on Friday, and then we have DS7's 8th birthday and a family BBQ on Saturday.

I will have to post on my "trip bags" for the boys that they get for the train, PLUS the big fun Disney beach bag!, and then the other shopping I have done as I get my packing organized next weekend. In the meantime I am going to catch up on my reading!!!:surfweb: I just cant believe I am leaving town next week... :faint:

NOW I AM REALLY GOING TO CATCH UP ON MY READING and MY REPLIES!!!!!

I'm so excited they get to be excited ahead of time this time! It's going to be a fun 2 weeks :goodvibes

Ha! I wish! Unfortunately there is no beer served at little league or high school games. Heading back again today, I almost wish we would lose and be done! Is that bad???? :rolleyes1

No no, not BAD, I won't tell!

:banana:Your trip is getting soooo close!

I like the scarf you ordered. Very pretty!

A civil war birthday party--that sounds interesting. How did it go? I live in Ohio and particulary the land of Grant as everyone around here will tell you. Ulysses Grant grew up in the town we live in as a child. I think everywhere you turn you see or hear about Grant. There is a group (I can't think of their name) that puts on a Grant Days each year with a reenactment, ladies tea, and even a ball. With all that said, I have never heard of a civil war birthday party, even here.

Erika

Well, it actually seemed to go very well. There were only 8 little boys apparently, so that helped! War and boys... couldn't be good with a large crowd! How fun "Grant Days"!!! This was entirely born of his interest in History and the fact his father really likes Civil War history I guess!

am I too late to join??? Loved your past reports and can't wait to count down these last few weeks with you:cool1:

NO!! WELCOME!!! You're never too late!! Please join us for the final few days!!!

ooh I love the scarf!

I so hear you on the shorts. I ordered 2 pairs from Athleta that will be here next week, we will see how they work out. JCrew did have the bermuda's on sale over the weekend for $29.50 in some of the off colors. Not sure if they still do but I snapped up a pair in a charcoal grey that I love!

I found a pair at Anthropolgie online but couldn't swallow the price plus shipping and another in the store that is really a cross between shorts and capri's. They hit right at the knee so to me they are shorts. And they have all the cargo pockets I love, I need to retire my older cargo 4-5 year old capri's, they are falling apart (1) or the zipper won't stay up (1)

:rotfl:

I ordered shorts, they should be here this week. The bermudas are too long, the short shorts too short! JCrew has a 7 inch that is perfect for me. Hate spending that for shorts, but I was tired of looking. :headache: Gap had some too, for less. So I am trying both. Will return whatever doesn't work, hopefully I will like the less expensive ones!

Hey there, your trip plans look so great. I am sorry I have been absent for a while. I have definitely been reading your PTR and your cruise report. I have loved both very much. I am not turning into a lurker again, I promise. Just have had a lot going on. Also, I finally started my PTR. I know it's a little late. Come check it out if you get a chance. It explains my absence a bit and the delay in starting my PTR. The link is my signature. Can't wait to hear more about your plans and will be one of the first in line to read your TR.

Hi and WELCOME again!!! So glad you came by to see what was going on! I will definitely check out your PTR! I always enjoy hearing all about Disney trip plans! :thumbsup2

Yay for 2 weeks :yay::yay::yay::yay:

I KNOW!!! TWO TWO TWO!!! I can't believe it even when I say it!!!

Hang in there! It'll all be worth it when you're in WDW in TWO WEEKS!! :goodvibes

I know! :faint: I just gotta get through the next week, then really my vacation starts... :yay:

:woohoo: for two weeks!! I forgot about the New Orleans trip!!! Double :woohoo: You are one busy chiquita  :lmao:

Tracy

Yeah, I know! I am forgetting about it too! I have a ton to wrap up at work before that. CRAZY!!!!! :upsidedow

Woo Hoo!! Two Weeks!! :banana::woohoo::banana:

Just think....you will soon be in Disney. *Deep Breaths In...Deep Breaths Out*

Yes, I will definitely need to use that breathing technique in the next WEEK before I leave for New Orleans! Good grief. Where did the time go!!??

Yay for 2 weeks! :yay: Eeeek for only having one more week to get everything ready!

You'll get it all done, just keep moving forward :thumbsup2

I know I know! I will. But man, getting it all done is going to be an exercise in sleepless nights!!!

Just remember -- if you can pack for Disney in one night like you did this winter, you can do anything! :goodvibes:thumbsup2

OH THANK YOU CP!!! YES. That is true, I did manage that!!! I guess a Disney vacation is a bigger incentive than most realize!!!! :thumbsup2

YAY for the big reveal!! What a cute way to do it and I love the poster in the picture!!

The boys look so excited!!! You guys are going to have a great 10 days at Disney!!!!!

YAY for a Toy Story Marathon sounds like a great wait to spend some family time together!!!!!!!!

:cool1::banana::cool1: WOOT!! Congrats on being two weeks away!!!! :cool1::banana::cool1::banana:

Your life sounds a lot like mine right now...just keep swimming, just keep swimming!

I know that is what I have been saying to myself believe me!!!
Crazy, it is, but it will settle down!

Cute pins!!! I just bought a lot of twenty trading pins today off of ebay. I figure the kids will have a blast doing that this summer.

Now, you must read Kingdom Keepers, also. ;)

Get some sleep -- so you can finish updating tomorrow. popcorn::

GREAT! It is fun, and the Ebay trading pins are easy to use, because it is a win for everyone! Not spending as much as a "new pin" so I don't care what they trade them for! A great idea!

I will read it, I will!

I got some sleep, finally! But here I am up late -- that 5:10 alarm is going to come WAY too soon...

These are great. I am going to get some for my classroom. My students, especially the boys, will love them, and I need all the help I can get in getting them to read more.

I agree with you MeMom!!! I don't want to have those nightmares either  But CP assures us... ;)

I think the cartoon books would be great with young readers! I liked them, and knew both of my boys would too! :thumbsup2 Can't go wrong with Cars and Toy Story!

Jared got a gift certificate to Borders recently and he bought the first two Kingdom Keepers books with it. I'm in the middle of reading the first one - I borrowed it before he could even start it....... :rolleyes1

Ha! Well I am glad to know I picked out a good book!

Thanks! I did sleep in somewhat! Just been going nonstop. The pins are fun. But mostly for the boys. I just pick a few now and then. I will definitely be checking out the KK books. :thumbsup2

I saw those comics at Target, but I bought the invisible ink Toy Story game book instead. I may have to get some comics today.

Is the Kingdom Keepers series appropriate for 6 yr olds? Or is it more appealing to older kids?

They seem a little more sophisticated for a 6yr old -- and probably for my soon to be 8 yr old, too. But my DS can read Narnia books, so he should be okay, just some of the vocab will be foreign and dialog is hard for younger kids I think. He reads the Starwars series books now, so I think he could read it, just not sure if he will find it engaging.

May have to read some to him and DS5.

Love the pins :lovestruc. Two weeks to go is very exciting :banana: All your hard work this week will be sooooooo worth it when you arrive in disney :goodvibes Has the reveal happened ?

We shared the trip with the boys tonight! ;) It was fun! And yes, all the hardwork is still ahead of me! But it will all be worth it for sure!
