One Family, One Year - An AP finale & June 2010 PTR! - 7/6 TR STARTED!!!

WOOT!!! So much fun will be had at the Beach Club!! I'm so excited for you!!!

Well, I am joining in, maybe not too late. I've gone back and read all your posts, so I know what's going on. ;) Good thing the train worked out for your husband and boys. You'll get to meet up with them and begin the fun!

I see your posts on other threads that I'm subscribed to, and then tonight when I saw your PTR title, I had to come over and read. It's so funny, because ya'll sound like us this past year---We bought APs last May, because while there, we decided that we would return in December for our daughter's 16th birthday!

We went back in March, and will use our APs for the last time during our upcoming May trip (21 days from today!)

Yep, that is funny and very similar! That is what you gotta do with these AP's, I swear. You feel compelled to use them :lmao: Thanks for coming over and sharing in the fun!

I am glad things are working out with the timing, and the autotrain! Wow, just a few short days till you are off, right?!! 20 days now! :thumbsup2

Love the updated plans, Happydog!!

Also have lllloooovvvveeeddd the reports on your hubby's trip to Egypt!!!! That is a lot of self-restraint not to go. But, you have your priorities and stick to them-excellent sign of character!

Your trip is sooo close! I'm looking forward to it almost as much as you are, so that I can live vicariously AND to help me pass the 219 days left until my trip.

Well, if I didn't think too hard about it I wasn't going to know what I missed and in the end it was for the best. But I will be there next time! ;) Thanks for reading along! It is coming faster than I realize. I will share some of my latest planning and photos later this week, things are a bit busy here right now! :upsidedow

We are at BC Friday through Tuesday.

We are MK Saturday, Whispering Canyon for Father's Day, Cape May for Monday breakfast and Kona for Monday dinner.

I got the Crate and Barrel bag today... perfect!

Have you made any reservations for at Vero... we made the Pirate dinner one the other day!

Oh so glad you found the C & B bag for the BCV!!!! :rotfl: Hey! you know we are now going to be at BC for the rest of our trip! So NO vero beach this time! We will ALL be living through your trip! So hopefully we can visit at the pool one day! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 to your new orleans opportunity what a great way to start the summer. The travelling plans are working out really well, train journey sounds like a perfect solution. T shirts are sounding cool look forward to seeing them. Oh I so haven’t thought about the swimming costume solution yet no treadmill here but the street pounding certainly works :goodvibes

50 days party:

Your schedule is looking really well organised :thumbsup2 I did spend some time last Sunday doing a proper schedule which I do intent to laminate as well. Sounding like stars wars is real winner for one of your theme nights, POTC is always good too and there is always plenty to include in this theme. I am not very creative so I too will need a wee peek over at the theme night threads :rotfl:

Thanks for catching up and your comments! Yes, it all comes together eventually! I am glad I hadn't printed and laminated my trip binder pages yet! Will now be able to do that with the new extra days at Beach Club! Waiting for the Tshirts and then will start putting stuff together for the boys :thumbsup2

I have never done "theme nights" -- seems like so much fun, and there are some old PROS at this! You'll see them on that thread. Lots to look at!!!

I'm caught up....again! Your trip will be here before you know it - especially with school wrapping up.

LOVE the souvenirs from Egypt! It is REALLY cool that you guys get to travel as much as you do.

I see you are coming down to my area for the training! You are presenting? Can I ask what type of training it is? I also read that you are a 12 month employee. If I'm not getting too personal, what do you do? I'm just being nosey because I am in the school system as well. I'm a media specialist at a middle school. I also got the really exciting job of school test coordinator this year. Yay, me! Our state testing this year was split into two phases so I got to be stressed out for 2 months instead of one. :scared1: I definitely needed the spring break we just got back from. We went to visit family out of town so between testing and traveling, I missed out on a lot of Distime. School is winding down for us. We'll be finished before Memorial day, but we also started at the very beginning of August. Yuck!

I hope you have a wonderful time here. It will be hot and muggy though not as bad as August always is. Bring your bug spray! I also hope you get to do a little sight seeing. Have you ever been with your kids? If not, I'd love to recommend a few "family-oriented" places. :flower3:

Hi! Well actually I have been to New Orleans before, but never with my family just my husband. I attended another workshop/training there a few years ago. I am attending a workshop with the International Baccalaureate. It is there in the FQ. I will be alone, no DH this time, but with colleagues. And I will bring bug spray! I don't mess with State testing. We have that too, but it isn't my responsibility. Instead I am in charge of AP and IB testing. And we test A LOT. I run a GT magnet styled program at my school, it is an application based program. I am considered an administrator. I know how it goes with testing though. It is a tiring process for everyone -- the kids and the adults.

Thanks for reading along!

we are instead booked for two more nights in a 1 bedroom at Beach Club!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

SO.... Five nights at BLT and FIVE nights at BCV!!!! WOOT WOOT! I just love typing that, talk about onomatopoeia :lmao: I only discovered that word when I joined the DIS. :lmao:

onomatopoeia :rotfl2:

Well, you know -- buzz, woot, it is all the same!!! :lmao:

Thanks!

Yay for your waitlist coming through!! You'll love more days at BCV!

Yeah we are looking forward to sitting by the pool. That and WigD and Christine's entrance (which we fell in love with at Christmas!)

Glad you are at the BC.... will your AP still be good those days too?

Yes, well, for the 28th... until midnight!! :lmao: So we really only have ONE full day and night w/o a pass. Which is fine. We are thinking DTD, pool time, and GOLF on the 29th! (which is something I have been dying to do!) We will probably leave close to checkout time on the 30th, since we have to drive home and I have to "work" on the 1st -- :scared: After a week of "business" training travel, and a week and a half of vacation, I hope I can spell "work," let alone find my office keys!!! :rotfl2:

It's going to be so nice settle in and enjoy your entire 5 day stay! You know how much you are going to love Stormalong and the private entrance!

I'll just be arriving on the 30th. Sad to think that my happy end of my countdown day is your sad end of your vacation. Of course knowing you and your family you've got loads of other WDW vacations to look forward too.

Let the next trip planning begin!!!!

See Next Post for details about changes!

I can't even begin to fathom how much fun you are going to have with ten days of Disney!!! Your trip report is just going to be chockful of summer happiness!

What were the changes?

Well we moved our Brunch at 1900 Park Fare TO later in the week. So we had them spread out a little bit. We also added dinner at San Angels Inn, and Kona Cafe. :goodvibes

We were going to try Marrakesh or Rose & Crown, but in both cases the menu wasn't inspiring my DH... We liked the menu and such at Marrakesh, but we were not sure it would fly with the kids, and with the Pub, we are going to Scotland this summer and will get our fill of that food there! :thumbsup2 We were able to get reservations for both, and a very late one for Coral Reef. But again, not really sure it was a menu that inspired us (having had seafood already twice during this stay!) So we thought about that, and decided that since we liked the Margarita's at San Angels, and the kids loved dinner there, it was a good fit for us. So we decided to go with it. Kona, well, we hear so many good things about it! So we are on for dinner there (since we don't have park admission) and will see if we can slide into 'Ohanas (we seem to have luck with the last minute ADRs! so you never know!!! :thumbsup2) We also moved our Yak & Yeti lunch from the first day (since I wouldn't be there) to our mid-week AK day.

We are going to get more DTD time now, and try BREAKFAST at WPE... can you say WAY yummo breakfast menu??!! Take a look!!! I can go without worrying about park openings, since we will be heading home anyhow. And we can have a leisure morning leaving BCV, and then head over there for breakfast and any final shopping before the drive home! I am looking forward to trying breakfast at WPE.

There were a few changes with our park choices, too.. Will probably go to AK our final day after the Pirate Cruise, because I know the boys may not get there on the first morning, and I would like to go again. Since I will only make it the one day in the middle of our trip. I think that this will give us time to still get plenty of rides in, and maybe we wont do the pool that day (since we can stay plenty wet at the AK!! -- can you say Kali??!!!) We also decided to go to MK the morning of our check out at BLT because it is RIGHT there, and we can just have a little fun before we head over to check in to BCV. I am really liking these revised plans, and CANT wait for the next month and a 1/2 to fly by!!!! :)

So, more updates tomorrow or this evening we'll see -- I am still trying to finalize stone colors for my patio, and we have soccer and karate today, busy busy! :upsidedow
