We'll be in DL in March. My son and his girlfriend are thinking of spending a day at Knott's. How far is it from DL? What transportation would you recommend? How much would that transportation cost? Is it worth the trip? Thanks!

Knott's is about 10 - 15 mins from Disneyland. It is worth a trip, esp. if they enjoy coasters.

I can't help with transportation, I have always had my car, so we would just drive.

Disnee Dad Says..................................It's a pretty unique park, and go for the fried chicken dinner! It's SoCal so you need to drive! Taxi would be $30 or more one way, and buses will take you three days to get there, it would be faster to walk!!!

It is about 6 miles from DL. Can you check to see if your hotel offers shuttles to Knott's? It is definately worth a visit. I beleive Food 4 Less sells discount tickets. Knott's has many good rides. A great log flume ride, a Mine Train ride as well as 5 coasters and Supream Scream as well as Perilous Plunge.

L.A. Entertainment book has 15.00 off each person (up to 6 people) until end of March or April. If you want to trade similar coupon for NJ or California area it , I'd be willing.

Most Anahiem offer shuttle service with or without tickets for Knotts. Disney Hotel offer Adult pay, kids go free. For our trip during Easter, we're staying DPP via DC and are paying only $78 for 2 adults and 3 children. We will have a rental but the Disney hotel desks can organise shuttles if you request it.

We're thinking of adding Knott's to our plans as well. Getawaytoday.com has free kids tickets with the purchase of each adult ticket. But that means we still have to pay full price for three additional kids. Ever the penny pincher (and you have to be with as many kids as we are bringing! ), I am looking for a way to discount those kids tickets as well. Any ideas?:p

If you haven't book a room yet...then you might want to check out the Raddison at Knotts Berry Farm...They have some great room package deals that include meals and park passes.

Have fun!

That just made it worth it for us to go thanks for the info. HMMMMMMM I work for FritoLay/Pepsico maybe I can get tickets through work for even cheaper???

I saw an add for a 3 day Disney park hopper, 1 day to Knotts, and 1 day (transportation included) to the San Diego zoo for $167 per adult. I belive it was at citypass.com.

We did Knotts last year and we used coupons from Vaughans (maybe spelt wrong) grocery to get in. It was cheaper for me and my 2 kids to get in than for 1 of us to get into Disney. It was kind of crowded during the day, around 5 we went to the restaurant in there that is $5 a head for family style dinner - salad, pizza & spagetti - thats an unheard of price to eat in a theme park!! After that the park was empty and you could walk onto any ride - this was in the middle of June. Would definately go again!!

Do you mean (maybe) VON'S ? A local So-Cal grocery store?
