One-day to two-day ticket upgrade?

I’ve had an AP for the past few years and a friend would like to join me soon for a day at the park. It’s possible we might like to go for a second time later in the week as well. Does anyone know if I can buy her a one-day ticket and upgrade it to a two-day later in the day or does it have to be purchased initially? Thx!

I think if you upgrade it needs to be done the day you use the one day ticket. Once it’s used say you use it on Monday you can’t go on Wednesday and ask for it to upgraded to a 2 day.

Thanks! That’s what I’d hoped for. As long as we can upgrade it on the day, that’s perfectly fine.
