i know more days would be better, but will not get to happen. And I want to see seaworld so off we go. DH rides very few rides.

Cast: DH and me only, normally travlers to WDW but due to super cheap flights were off without kids.

Sunday drive from Las Vegas 6amish, I am thinking Seaworld, Sunday ticket will cost 79.99 hours 11 to 7:30pm. We could leave San Diego at the end of the day and if not exhausted drive to Disneyland California hotel and go see the Christmas tree/lobbyand if possible find that yule time cake for a snack and Then crash.

Do not have a hotel for this December night trip. Thinking maybe Castle Inn. December12.

Monday is regular peak price for Disneyland, Sunday would be peak and I would guess busier. I do not think parks hours are out yet.

Monday breakfast early in Disneyland hotel before parks opens or in park. Park all day, DH will ride Hauted Mansion, so we will start Disneyland, buy a hopper if we want. I do not see a Christmas party show/ticket, could that be a possibility? For December 12. Would there be a fireworks show? Where could we find a good burger for lunch? And does Disneyland take ADRs?

We will go drop off the car then taxi to embassy suites and fly out in AM.

Any reason we should flip the days? If we did seaworld, they have weekday tickets for $55. I would then pay a little more for the Disneyland ticket.

What do you think?

I know Sea World is a must but honestly, I would do 2 days at DL/DCA.

It'll be a while before park and entertainment hours are out but Dec 12 is a Monday and I am unsure if they'd do fireworks. You should miss the Candlelight Processional and CM parties that week so that's good. There will be a parade I'm sure.

Disneyland ticket prices are fixed are in term of they don't fluctuate depending on the day of the week. I guess I would keep it as it unless you're willing to drive down to San Diego after Disneyland closes on Sunday; could be midnight. You won't want to drive anywhere Monday morning. :scared:

I haven't been to the Castle Inn so I'm not sure about that either. Disneyland takes their version of ADRs called Priority Seating (PS) and you can make them 60 days in advance.

Agree with rentayenta. 2 days dlr. :tigger:

But Monday's can be really busy at dlr. I'd look at the hours and entertainment available to decide.

I recommend best western park place inn or courtyard theme park. Or Fairfield inn. Camelot inn.

Normally I'd say 2 days DLR but with Orca show leaving forever I'd definitely keep SeaWorld in there. I think your days are just fine the way they are btw.

If you are looking for a very nice burger (restaurant style, not fast food style), that means CCR for lunch. Expensive, but it comes with good service in a pretty atmosphere. Fast food style burger -- you might like Smoke Jumpers Grill in DCA. The burgers aren't special, but there is a condiments bar so you can fix it up the way you like it. Carnation Cafe in DL has a burger and chili -- we order both and make chili burgers. DLR doesn't do a Christmas party (yet). The parade, fireworks, decorations, and holiday atmosphere are included with the price of admission. On Monday, eat breakfast in the parks (Starbucks, Jolly Holiday, Flo's, etc.). Eating at the DLH, either Goofy's or S55, will cut into your park time considerably. Those places are meant to be enjoyed, not rushed. Your DH will still have a great time even without riding lots of rides. We visit often and rarely do rides. There is so much more that DLR has to offer. Have a great visit!

Oh- there aren't Christmas parties in Disneyland :( Every year there is a rumor that maybe this year is the year for a party so if they bring one out here I'm sure our board will blow up with excitement. As for park hours Oct isn't even out yet so don't hold your breath on getting Dec hours anytime soon. ADRs are available 60 days out.

I'd flip the days. You would save at least two hours of driving. Vegas to DLR 3.5 hours without traffic. To San Diego, is more like 5.5.. Sunday traffic from Vegas to cali is unbelievable. Track it for a few weeks on Google maps to see what I mean. Time it wrong and you are looking at 8 hours to DLR.

I was just looking at SeaWorld tickets today. I think the weekday tickets for $55 only go through September 30? If you found one that goes past that, I would love to know. :)

Oops I just checked the site for the seaworld ticket. The offer does expire sept 30. I thought it just had to be bought by then.

When are the CM parties? I know there is one in DCA next month...can't they do their parties somewhere else? Like Magic Mountain? Haha, I'm only kidding! And I'm assuming CM means Cast Member...but I don't know all the abbreviations!
