One day only....help!

So I originally have three days to do the park. Short story... airline changed flight plans on us so now we have one day, Dec 20, to explore both parks. I have been there, hubby has now. We are staying offsite but get early entry that day. IoA is open 9(8)-8 and US is open 9-7. We are doing a park to park ticket. Should we need the Express Pass add-on since it is still the week before Christmas or should we save the extra $120?

Also what sort of game-plan would you do for two adults to explore both parks?

You don't need to purchase express in advance. You don't even need to purchase it at the gates. You can wait until you get inside the parks and check out the lines before you make any express pass purchase.

How about game plan? I've done early entry at WWoHP but I'm not sure what would be the best plan of attack now that Transformers and Minions is open. What would you do?

If you decide to go to the Studios before IOA, do Transformers first...then Despicable Me. The lines should be long most of the day for both attractions.
