do you have a great tour plan? Plan to be there at rope drop & stay til close. we will be there Dec. 30th. No young children.
Would love food recommendations too.

I'm sure you will get a lot of recommendations, but a couple of questions: Are you just doing DL or hopping? Have you been before? This would impact my advice a bit.

yes restaurant help

So, what are you looking to eat or what do you like? I do find that DLR has better quick service food than WDW has, so there are a lot of great choices. Some of my favorite places are:

Disneyland
  • Tropical Hideaway - Bao Buns - these are kind of hidden away, but make a great snack or meal. If you aren't getting Dole Whip you can skip the line for ice cream and go straight to the bao counter. This is a good place to hit when other places are busy busy because they don't take mobile order and a lot of people don't know about it or think it's only for Dole Whip.
  • Little Red Wagon - Corn Dogs - REALLY good corn dogs that have been dipping since 1955!
  • Cafe Orleans - This is sit-down place so get an ADR. It has some favorites from Blue Bayou, including the Monte Cristo, but it's a little less expensive.
California Adventure
  • Award Weiners - Good hot dogs with creative toppings and really good fries!
  • Aunt Cass Cafe - Formerly the Pacific Wharf Cafe, this is attached to the Boudin sourdough bakery and they use the bread in most dishes.
  • Corn Dog Castle - Not for the Corn Dogs, but for the Cheese Bar - cheese on a sitck dipped in corndog batter and fried - yum! Just don't tell your cardiologist! 🤣

I really like Bengal bbq although it’s more like a snack place than a meal.

In DCA I love boardwalk pizza & pasta.

Hmmm, I guess I eat less than you do. I have trouble making it through two skewers and rice.
The addition of the hummus tray has helped. But I don’t like the rice and slaw. The bread is too light and fluffy, no substance. But we always go here for a snack. 🤣
