More coming up...

Nice! I'll be there in two weeks :thumbsup2
Just one question...in the aviary, do the birds automatically land on your head? I don't think I can deal with that.

No, the birds don't land on everyone. When we went in they seemed to like my DH best. He was the only one they picked. Maybe it was because he was pretty tall and looked like a good perch (lol).:)

Yes, they will land on your head. Especially if you go first thing in the morning as that is their feeding time. Its awesome.

That bird landed on her head without notice. She got quite scared but it didn't hurt her at all. That was the only one, we had contact with.

That particular bird landed on my arm when I was there. it then settled down and went to sleep! I didn't mind a bit! I was in that bit of the habitat for at least 30 minutes until it woke up and decided to fly off. There's always something special when a wild(-ish ) creature decides to interact with you on it's own terms.

Great photos, it brought back so many memories of our day there. Everything looks lush and beautiful.

Thanks for sharing

Great pictures!

I went to DC this trip too, and loved it so much. My legs were so sore the next morning and then I realized it was from spending so much time snorkeling, I hadn't gone snorkeling since I was in the Bahamas years ago and after swimming with the dolphins that was my favorite part. First I went around the lazy river twice to reaquaint myself with snorkeling.

I loved how the rays just swam right under me. Of course, it always helped when someone came in the water and started kicking up a storm, the fish didn't like that and would rush to the deeper sections and that's where I spent most of my time (a lot less people to bump into in the deep parts). I wish I had a waterproof video camera, I hope I took good pictures with my waterproof camera.

It was a great day and I recommend it to anyone thinking of doing it.

I also spent a lot of time at SeaWorld, I went there the day before (they gave me a day pass when I showed my confirmation) and then the evening after DC and the next day.

Great pictures, i really enjoyed them. I wil be going to Sea World in October, and am going to dine with shamu.

Fantastic pictures!

I've booked for us to go to DC and SeaWorld next April, I cannot wait! It'll be my 1st time at DC and I just don't know what to expect, but from the pictures it looks heavenly :cloud9:
