If you had ONE day to enjoy as much holiday stuff as possible, what would your plan of attack be? I had hoped we'd be there for a full week of holiday fun but it turns out we'll just be there on the first day they have holiday stuff (11/22). So looking for some advice from more experienced folks!

They had their first Mickeys Very Merry last night .
And the Disney Springs Tree is going up last night too !
I think Jolly Holiday is tonight already!
I just discovered a new “Super Enthused “ blogger “ and it is like listening and watching Tinkerbell almost. She has tiny petite hands and a very soft voice ..
The first time I found this was when I googled the Cake Bake Shoppe . She just visited the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian.
Do you want advice with park hopper or no theme park ticket advice?
I will be working on a similar plan for my family visiting holiday week and only wants to go to the MK . I need to suggest a park hopper to start at MK and end at Epcot because this week is jammed with locals .The week that does not have any Very Merry Parties and has the holiday parade free but in the afternoon daylight .
Hope you get more advice for your date!

We personally enjoy strolling around and looking at all of the decorations especially in the Studios park. This park has the big Christmas tree and they play holiday music throughout the park. They also have a wonderful Christmas parade each evening.

We also love to try different holiday treats that are offered. One of our favorites was the Grinch ice cream cookie sandwich in Studios. The Tribute store will be decked out too and that’s always a must-do for us. They offer treats and merch and it’s always creatively decorated/themed throughout.

In Citywalk they turn the Coconut Club into The Red and Green Coconut Club which always has a fun vibe with a DJ or live music and is typically beautifully themed to the holiday. Several bars are inside and you have access to their upstairs balcony which has a nice view.

I’ve never been, but I hear that the Grinchmas show is fun to attend which is held at Studios. It’s a live performance of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. They also offer breakfast with the Grinch which is a paid event but might be sold out on your day since it’s opening day. There’s also a holiday tour which is a paid event but doesn’t start until November 25 I believe.

Both Harry Potter areas are beautiful to see all decked out for the holidays, especially with a hot Butterbeer. In the Islands park, Hogwarts castle displays a holiday light show.

We also like to visit some nearby resorts to check out their holiday decor (and to dine there). Strong Water, Orchid Lounge and Jake’s at Royal Pacific are some of our favorite places to dine/drink.

New this year, will be a nutcracker scavenger hunt which should be fun. We’ve done some of their scavenger hunts in the past such as their scarecrow hunts. Oh and I love seeing Earl the Squirrel, UO’s holiday mascot!

Here is an article that describes the festivities. https://www.insideuniversal.net/202...-details-for-their-2024-holidays-celebration/

You will be able to see the decorations your whole stay. On the day that the holiday stuff officially starts, that's when you will be able to see the shows & do holiday meet & greets. I would prioritize the parade and the Grinch show, and the Hogwarts Christmas show.

Hi! Just wanted to thank you for responding....I actually posted in the Universal forum because this year we're doing a Universal trip so sadly, no MK or Epcot or Jollywood Nights for us this time. (Although I HAVE strongly debated about taking an Uber to Jollywood nights one night during our trip for a quick disney fix but we'll see...) But wanted to say I appreciate your reply!

I would try to hit the Grinch show as early as you can so you can fit it in as many of the holiday stuff is more after dark when the lights can show. I would try to go to the tribute store (this is a must do for us) before the parade. It is usually in a great spot near the big christmas tree. This would then allow you after the parade to see the lights in the studios park, then can work back over to IoA to see the lights there. They are mostly to the right side on entry in Seuss Landing and Harry Potter.
If time allows, the Seuss Trolley Train ride is fun at night to get a higher up view of the lights in that land and out across the lagoon. Then you can finish up the night in Hogsmeade and watch the christmas light show at Hogwarts.

I would say book the Holiday Tour, but you will miss the parade if you only have one day. You can get all the other stuff knocked off your list without waits.

Unfortunately, it is sold out for the remainder of November.

I also wanted to add that in the UO app, it states that CineSational will return starting November 22. This is a wonderful nighttime show in the Studios park that includes lights, music, fireworks and awesome drone technology. Not holiday related but still fun to experience.
