Have a 4 night stay at wdw next month. Was contemplating going up to universal one day, and try to take in both parks. Without express privs, what can we expect to get through in one day? I don't want to spend almost $300(two of us), if the bulk of the day will be spent standing in line.

Just an idea of what attractions we might be able to get done is all I am looking for.

Thx!

No, you won't be able to get through both parks in one day. You can do the highlights of both, though. I suggest going to the website and deciding which rides you really want to ride. Getting to the parks at opening is imperative. The Wizarding World at night is wonderful, and crowds are lower then too.

I suggest three days to do both parks, especially if going in the middle of the summer so it'll be unlikely you'll get to do most of the attractions, but if you want to try to do both parks in one day in July you better get there right at opening and do as many attractions early before the lines get huge, later on take advantage of rides that have single rider lines(Hulk,Spider-Man,Dr.Dooms fearfall,Dudley Do Right,Forbidden Journey,Rip,Ride,Rockit,MIB and the Mummy). If you do all this you just might get lucky and do a good chunk of the attractions, especially with longer hours.

There is just too much to do during a busy travel season to try and cram everything in a single day. Would you try to do two parks at WDW in a single day? ;)

I've actually done that a few times (AK/MK and DHS/MK in the last two years), though I don't do shows.

For Universal, be liberal in your use of single rider lines and you should be fine. Save HP for closing since resort guests will already be swarming it at opening and be sure to hit the water rides early, as their waits get ridiculous around noon and the single rider lines close down.

I would be frustrated trying to do 2 parks in one day peak with no express. It wouldn't be fun for me. I know some commando goers that it would be OK for. Just go in knowing you may not get everything that you want to see/do done.

Do you get to Disney often? If not I would need those 4 days for Disney only.

if you do a one day, two park adventure at the darkside, you will come back from it thinking you'll never do it again.
you will miss what the parks really have to offer guests.
rushing to do highlights of each park will be time consuming.

you will be facing crowds, heat, long lines in the parks in July.

pick one park and be there way before opening time.
there will be many already in line at least 20 minutes before park opening.

if you find that you have done the rides you came for in one park, then go to guest services and upgrade your ticket to a 2 park from a single day ticket.

I agree with the pp's. Just pick one park and go with single rider lines at the most popular attractions (especially if you want to ride more than once).

Trying to get in both parks in July would be stressful for us.
