We are staying at Vero Beach for a few days next week and with the red tide problem we were thinking of taking a day to drive to Orlando. Tuesday seems to be the best day for us. I realize it is the Food and Wine Festival so Epcot will be packed. Does anyone have any recommendations for two 60+ year old adults to spend only one day in one of the parks? We haven't been there in years but are looking forward to using our DVC points in the next few years as our grandchildren get old enough to enjoy it.

Any help would be appreciated. My husband is not interested in fighting huge crowds.

Also, what are the wrist bands that everyone is talking about and would we need them for one day? They weren't available the last time we visited about 7 years ago.

Thanks!
Judy

You don’t need Magic Bands (wristbands). Which park is completely a matter of personal preference, read a paragraph or two on each to get an idea.

Thanks! I am not at all familiar with Magic Bands so I'm glad I don't have to worry about them.

I'd choose between MK and AK, I love both parks. AK is a beautiful park with lots to explore for the day, honestly I could do the Safari ride a few times in one day. The shows are really great if you haven't seen those before
But to me MK is quintessential Disney, it's got the magic you just won't find anywhere else. All the classic rides that you can do no matter what your ability. PP HM, JC and Pirates. So I'd most likely pick MK

Either park could be crowded. I love both parks, but probably AK little more. Fun attractions and some great shows.
