My extended family of 9 is heading to WDW and Universal at the end of July 2011. We will be spending 4 days at WDW and one day at IOA, mostly to do WWoHP. I am an experienced WDW visitor but have never been to a Universal Park. Need advice on what the best day is to visit WWoHP keeping in mind that we will not be staying on site but do plan to arrive at park opening. Available days are Monday thru Friday. Thanks for any suggestions!!:wizard:

July is going to be BUSY. There will be long lines for WWOHP, so be sure to pack lots of patience. And then pack more. Tues-Wed-Thurs are usually slower days, but during July, there's minimal difference between days. Park hours are usually 9-10, so you'll have plenty of time to see the rest of the park as well.

If they are doing the return time thing, be sure to see other parts of the park until your return time. Again, patience and hydration will be key. Don't be surprised to see 60-90 min waits for almost everything...

Thanks. I kind of figured that. Is it worth getting the express pass and can you use it on HP? I thought I read somewhere that you could not.

The price of Express varies, and it's not uncommon to be an additional $50/person in July for One Day One Park Express.

The Express for IOA cannot be used at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, but CAN be used at Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff. If you're not in any kind of a rush, then skip the Express purchase. You can only use Express once per attraction as it is...

We will be there the 1st 2 weeks in Aug. Planning 3 days the 2nd week for IOA/US. What days do you suggest? I was there for 2 days this past Aug and went on Sat & Sun. It was a recon trip for this year. We were there before opening and left by 1pm. HP land was nuts of course but the rest of the parks were just getting crowded when we left. How will this compare to weekdays this year?
