We've never been to IOA so are adding one night at HRH (already reserved) on 12/23. DH and DS16 will leave WDW that morning to spend the day at IOA while DD14 and I spend some time touring the Disney resorts.

How important will it be for my son and husband to ge to IOA at 8 a.m.when it opens? Since they have FOTL privileges, could they arrive at 10 a.m. and still get most of the great roller coaster rides in by 7 or 8 p.m.?

When IOA is crazy busy (like I assume it will be that day), do you still wait in long lines using FOTL?

Thanks for any help you can provide....I'm clueless on the Universal details.

You should be OK to do that...especially since you're staying onsite. You do get early entry into WWoHP but if you aren't concerned about that section of IOA, you can arrive pretty much whenever. The lines shouldn't be too bad before Christmas.

Thanks Metro West! I forgot about the WWoHP early opening hours. Just don't think they can get over there by 8 a.m....but we'll see.

With WDW so crowded as Christmas gets closer, why isn't IoA? Just curious.

I think IOA will be more crowded this year due to HP but the real crowds show up on 12/26-1/2...that's when it's nuts!
