How adorable is that?! He looks like he should be starring in a commercial! What a cutie!

Thanks again for all the wonderful replies...I know I'm biased about how cute my little guy is, but again, thanks. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I am planning to print out this whole thread when I'm done and save it for him to read when he grows up, so I'm sure he'll be blushing one day at all your comments!! I really am having such a blast writing this as I go along...it brings the whole trip right back!! :wizard:

What a great report...Poor boy finding out not all mac and cheese is from a box!

Neat idea about the shipping thing...I'll have to use that myself next trip. Can I Pm you for more info?

neverland...please feel free to pm me about the shipping thing. I did it with disneyshopping.com and another company as well.

:firefight Okay, now I'm ready for flames.....

Just a note in B_ _ _ _ Y's favor , we thought the same thing when we first had kids, but we wound up realizing that any creature who teaches the kids to pick up their toys, be polite, and respect people in authority isn't SO bad.

Still lovin this report. I cant wait to hear about the off site adventures. :thumbsup2

Hey - my little princess princess: just got to see your photos and she loved them. Except Connor got to play at the Airport and her mean Mommy wouldn't let her. And she really wanted to know where you found the Barney ride. Firgures - a trip to the World and she wants a mall ride

:rainbow: :hyper2: :maleficen

smilies are all her choice just for you.

I'm really enjoying your report. Great job. Can't wait to read more. I can relate to the marital stress. Connor is adorable! :goodvibes So glad his Buzz Lightyear dreams came true!

Once back at the car we navigated to Walmart in order to get our bottled water. Well, tried to navigate…because it was dark and not only could I not read my wonderful maps, but Disney doesn’t label it’s streets by their street name, they rely on their signs for landmarks. So, we missed the turn for Walmart and ended up near the resort so I told dh it would probably be a better idea to take our now very sleepy Connor back to the room and put him to bed. I would venture out to Walmart on my own since I know where I’m going from the resort. Agreed.

I got to Walmart no problem, and although the drive was nice, there was no traffic around and I kinda started to get a little nervous. :worried: But give me a Walmart and I’m a happy little girl. :woohoo: I grabbed a cart and practically skipped to the bottled water aisle, tossing a few munchies in the cart along the way, and then ground to a screeching halt. While there was bottled water, it was all “purified water” not “spring water”. Apparently all my clones had made it to the store before me and snapped up anything not “purified” as evidenced by the big empty holes on the shelf where they had been. Hmmmm, what to do? I am not drinking the “purified” stuff since this is akin to Dasani (no offence to the Coke company) and I have also promised aGoofymom that I will buy a case of water for her and leave it at the ASMu front desk (they check in the day after we check out). Well, I am so flustered from this dilemma I decide to check out the Disney merchandise to calm myself down. Yes, it’s not Disney, but it’s still official Disney stuff and sometimes deals can be had. I found a very cute pair of Tink sleep pants for the babysitter, and I caved and bought Connor a Buzz Lightyear rolling suitcase. How I was going to justify that purchase to dh I had no idea. Little did I know that opportunity would present itself before I got back to the resort! ;)

So, check out with my purchases and I’m back in the car, studying my maps to try to figure out what to do. I had spent a little longer in Walmart than planned and now it is almost 10pm. What is going to be open? Oh well, head towards the Target store and we’ll see. Now I am driving sort of aimlessly looking for bottled water...bottled spring water, not “purified swill”. I am on a mission but now I’m starting to really get nervous. :rolleyes2 It is late, it is dark. The farther I venture off property the more nervous I get. Although I’m good with directions, and I have a map and an innate sense of North/South (East and West I can mix up, but I’m usually ok), I am suddenly afraid that I am not going to find my way back. :scared1: I pull into the Target parking lot and sure enough, it is closed. Now what?

Ok, deep breath. I’m starting to panic a little. I’m feeling like a little girl lost. Someone give me my Pal Mickey…I need to hear the giggling mouse!! Waaahhh! There was a grocery store I passed…somewhere…on the way to the Target. I keep driving. Luckily I find it and I am in there like a flash. Directly to the bottled water aisle and again I am stymied. What is going on? Was there a hurricane warning I didn’t hear about? What is with the sudden run on bottled water? Way back on the bottom shelf I find one case of Zephyrhills. Ok, this will do. I’ve had this before…in Disney no less…before they contracted with the makers of the swill. But what to do about aGoofymom and my promise. I don’t want to have to venture out again for a repeat of “Snow White’s Scary Adventure”. Hmmm. Then it dons on me…I’ve just had an apostrophe! Lightening has just struck my brain! (said with a convincing Bob Hoskins accent…name that movie!) pirate: I can buy 3 six packs of Zephyrhills for us and leave the case for aGoofymom. And loh! I have a perfect way to tote the 6 packs up to the room! The previously purchased Buzz suitcase will hold 2 of the 6-packs perfectly!!! Hehehehe! I am Water Woman!!!

I am again skipping as I head to the checkout (well, in my mind anyway, not really…that would be a sight!), purchase my water and head back out into the dark, scary night. I consult my map again to get my bearings and my plan to return to Disney property as soon as possible. But I wind up on a 4 lane road where I proceed to hit every red light possible. :sad2: Anxiety is building…and how many of these dang massive gift shops do you need on one stretch of road? You know the ones I mean, the big neon, warehouse looking ones that advertise 1000’s of items and free bonuses? It’s keeping me mildly distracted from the horrible feeling that I’m going to get car-jacked at the next light. My apologies to anyone who actually lives in Orlando or the surrounding area. I’m sure your neighbourhood is fine, safe and friendly. :goodvibes I admit…I have an overactive imagination. That’s why I don’t watch horror movies, cause I can get myself completely worked up into a frenzy. :scared: I stupidly went to see “Blair Witch Project” and I couldn’t be anywhere near the woods for years. Yes, I know…there is something seriously wrong with me. But I’d prefer to think that my overactive imagination lends to my love for Disney and art. So, I’ll accept it for what it is. :lovestruc

Anyways, back to the drive at hand. Finally I pass the familiar signs and I am back in the “world” but by now I am so panicked that when I pull into the parking lot and there is no one to be seen, I am grabbing my purchases and practically running to the room. Yes, I feel like a fool looking back on this. And it doesn’t help that dh teased my like all get out when I got back to the room about how silly I was. But at least the lights were off so in the dark he didn’t notice the new suitcase. Being the oh-so-observant guy that he is, he didn’t notice it until the next evening… “hey, where did this come from?” Hehehe. :thumbsup2

So, we had brought a single inflatable mattress for Connor to sleep on. Yes, I know, bring on the flames. :stir: You see, dh is 6’5” and a sprawler when he sleeps. We barely fit in the queen size bed at home, let alone a double. We know. We tried. We spent the first 2 nights of our honeymoon sleeping in separate beds at CBR because there was a mix-up in our reservation for a King bed room. Our last trip as CSR, Connor was luckily just small enough to still fit in the pack n’ play so we had a surprisingly pleasant trip, each having their own nice place to sleep. Tonight however, dh had decided that Connor was too tired to wait for the air mattress to be blown up and he has already tucked Connor in to sleep in my bed. It is now close to 11pm and I don’t want to have to call down to house-keeping and then wait for them to bring a bed-rail up, so I pile pillows up beside Connor, slip into bed beside him and pick up the phone to request our wake-up call (even though I know I have a morning child, murphy's law will dictate that without the wake-up call he will sleep until 10!). I also put in my ear plugs. I never used to sleep with ear plugs. I learned really quick when we moved into our new house. We were the only house built with at least 4 empty lots on either side and behind us in the subdivision. It was great! No noisy neighbours, great breeze blowing in with no houses to obstruct the wind. Then the construction started. I work shiftwork. I got earplugs real fast. :rotfl: And now, having read all the handy-dandy info on the DIS about the paper-thin walls at the value resorts, and the fact that my darling little boy snores at a level rivalling his grandpa, I dutifully packed my earplugs for the trip. :teeth: But I still constantly woke up all night checking that Connor wasn’t going to fall out of bed. I saw every hour on the clock for sure, but then I finally relaxed enough to get a fairly decent level of snoozing going when…thump. Connor had indeed rolled over and fell out of bed. He wasn’t hurt. In fact he promptly stood up and lazily giggled “Ha, Mommy, I fell out bed!”. I told him to climb back up and go back to sleep. Nope. He was already over at the window pulling back the curtain to say hi to Buzz. It was 5:30am. Oh well, at least we’re not going to be late for our day at Animal Kingdom!

Up next…it wouldn’t be Disney if I wasn’t in tears.

That was funny with Connor falling out of bed.

I understand the confusion re driving around. It's why we never rent a car. I'm just not brave enough to dare that traffic and amazing assortment of stores that look alike!!

This very same thing happened to my Conner on the very first night of our stay at POFQ...but he did get hurt. :guilty: Not take him to the hospital hurt, or even get the band aid hurt..but he is fair skinned, so a little black and blue on the forehead. And another half hour of being up at 2 am calming him, and half scared to allow him to sleep again.

Loving this so far...love the doses of reality in your TR-it makes one appreciate DW so much...and by the way I always use () and .... when I write. Bring it on, can't wait for more popcorn::
