Hi,
On one of our Epcot days we don't have any ADR's and the plan is to try something in each country as we make our way around world showcase. We usually only have ADR's, so I am not familiar with what quick service items are the best. If you could only order one item from a country what would it be?
We plan on just getting one item from each country and sharing it before moving on to the next. (2 adults, 3 little kids) Sweet or savory snack ideas are also great too. Thank you!

That's what we do! Our family of four snack around the world sharing treats and small meals.

Epcot Around the World Ideas:
  • Mexico - Tacos from La Cantina
  • Norway - Pastry from Kringla Bakeri
  • China - Egg Roll or Chicken Pocket or Bubble Tea from Joy of Tea
  • Germany - Bratwurst or Pretzel from Sommerfest
  • Italy - Gelato or Dessert from Gelato Kiosk
  • Japan - Sushi or Teriyaki from Katsura Grill
  • Morocco - Meal from Tangierine Café
  • France - Pastry from Boulangerie Patisserie
  • UK - Fish and Chips from Yorkshire Fish Shop
  • Canada - Slushie
Sometimes we don't make it the whole way around so if we go to Epcot a second day, we pick up where we left off and keep going.

My daughter and I do this every trip. It's so much fun. We like to try different things but also have our favs.
We've found that we get full a lot faster than we ever plan! :thumbsup2

Our absolute favorite is the fish and chips.

Canada--maple syrup from Northwest Mercantile
UK---fish and chips at Yorkshire Fish Shop
France---Eclair from Les Halles
Morocco---we bring home spices and something beautiful
Japan---sake for the adult and a bag of candy and drinks from Mitsukoshito to take back to condo
Italy---Gelato from the gelato cart (I'm trying Affogato this year!)
German---bratwurst from Sommerfest and something chocolate from Karamell Kuche
China---weird ice cream from Joy of Tea but this year I'm trying pork buns
Norway---School Bread from Kringla Bakeri
Mexico---Taco and beans from La Cantina
USA---funnel cake while we watch Illuminations

This comes from the family (not just me):

Mexico - churros with caramel dipping sauce
China - shrimp fried rice with egg roll
Norway - school bread
Germany - anything at all from Karamel Kuche (the list is endless)
Italy - pizza at via napoli (restaurant not window)
USA - funnel cake with ice cream
Japan - sorry, no suggestions (not our favourite)
Morrocco - baclava
France - croque monsieur followed by beignet
UK - fish & chips
Canada - anything with maple syrup from the shop

These would be my choices (they're mostly snacks/sweets!):

Canada - Probably something from the gift shop because they don't really have a QS location
UK - Fish & Chips (Yorkshire Fish Shop)
France - Café Liégeois (Les Halles) or Croque Glacé (L'Artisan des Glaces)
Morocco - Baklava
Japan - One of the candies from Mitsukoshi
US - Funnel Cake (Funnel Cake) or a Root Beer Float (Hops & Barley)
Italy - Gelato (Gelati)
Germany - Caramel Corn (Karamel Kuche) or Bratwurst (Sommerfest)
China - Carmel-Ginger Ice Cream (Lotus Blossom Cafe)
Norway - Troll Horn (Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe)
Mexico - Churro (La Cantina de San Angel)

Mexico - nachos (plenty to share)
China - egg roll
Norway - divided on this, I love the skool bread but my son hates coconut so we end up getting a sandwich of some sort
Germany - pretzel
Italy - we have problems with this so usually I get a gelato and then we do a wine tasting at the wine bar
Morocco - anything, we love it all
Japan - my son loves shusi so he gets that while I'm eating my gelato, in a crunch we will share edamame
France - Ice cream
GB - fish and chips
Canada - beer

Not much of a snacker, but the fish & chips at Yorkshire...:thumbsup2 I can't say for sure, but I think they don't make the f&c way ahead and keep them under a heat lamp--they always seem fresh to me.

You didn't mention alcohol drinks, but the Grey Goose slushie in France...:thumbsup2 Not a big fan of sweet cocktails but this one is a winner. :earsboy:

China - pot stickers and add duck sauce to them. I think there are four stickers. And they taste good even when cooled down a bit. Darn - now I'm thinking pot stickers and watching Illuminations.

I love to snack my way around the World! You will have so much fun trying new things to eat in each country. Don't miss the fish and chips from UK!

Great ideas here, thank you all. Fish and chips, churros & anything from Les Halles are going on my list :)

I love, love, love this! Yorkshire Co Fish Shoppe is one of our favorite places at WDW so save room for that one and although this seems like too much food remember that you'll be sharing.

Awesome idea - I have heard of drinking around the world, but not snacking around the world!
