Not including the past 12 months what are people’s thoughts and or experiences on booking a one bedroom at another resort at or after the 7 month mark. How was it the few years leading up to the pandemic. Any and all comments or predictions appreciated.

Yes, the still remain your best chance. But certain times of the year, mid September until mid January remain very busy and most book 11 months in advance.

Bungalows and cabins are still the ones that last the longest before being filled. For the most part, that is still followed in line by 1BRs with exceptions that existed even before covid -- BLT standard view 1BRs can go quickly at times at 11-months out, sometimes faster than standard studios, and the Theme Park view 1BRs sometimes fill before the TP studios; VGF 1BRs often book full before dedicated 2BRs (result of many not being able to get studios because those sometimes book fast at 11-months out); HHI 1BRs usually fill before 2BRs (factor of total numbers as there are far more dedicated 2BRs); VB inn rooms almost invariably last the longest (also a factor of far more numbers).

I suspect that this will change as more rooms are renovated with the new Murphy beds. Before I would only recommend 3 in a 1br with a child sleeping on the couch as I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to sleep on the fold out bed. But with the murphy beds, you can sleep 4 adults and a child comfortably.

Yes, 1 Bedrooms have always been the least difficult to get at the seven month mark (or sooner). I know it's pandemic time now, but I got a 1 bedroom for a solo trip to VGF at around 6 months out. This was after a few years of not being able to get a studio, and I REALLY wanted to try VGF.

I just got the 1 bd I needed for the end of Oct. 7 months out. It is very important to get online with your info filled out so you can hit that available button at 8:00. When I checked back at 8:09 there weren´t any left at the resort I got.

I agree and I believe one bedrooms with murphy beds will go faster that two bedrooms due to having two "real" beds to sleep on and the low point costs.

We have had success with a 1Br at 7 months much more often than a Studio anywhere.
1 month before our trip, we changed our minds and were able to get a 1 BR at Boardwalk for 4 nights.
