One Bedroom Junior Suite Disneyland Hotel?

I was looking at the 2 bedroom suite last week but our dates may change and it's not available. So now I'm looking at the 1 bedroom jr suite. Has anyone stayed in that before? It says it has a king bed, sofa bed and "Pull down bed." Does anyone know what that is and it's big enough for a 5'3" teen?

Also wondering if the suite has 1 or 2 bathrooms, or a dining table. Not much information about them on the Disneyland site.

Thanks in advance for any input. :)

I'm assuming the pull down bed is the same ones they use at WDW, in which case it's a full queen bed, so a 5'3" teen would totally fit.

I don't think so. The listing on the DL site specifically says its twin sized. I don't know for sure but am thinking it's more like some of the twin fold outs found at WDW and Aulani, typically in a "cabinet" under the TV. One of the photos on the DL site shows a cabinet that looks like it could be one of these, though I have never heard of them having these at DLH before.

ETA: the photos on the DLH site do not seem to show any kind of dining table.

We stayed in one (upgraded for free) in 2015. Unless things changed when they did the minor refresh, there was only a queen sized sofa bed pullout in the living area. We didn't have that TV cabinet, so it seems like the pull down bed is in there, and those are typically VERY small, not fully twin sized.

Thanks for the input! I changed my dates (Again!) and the 2 bedroom is free. Now I just have to decide which one to stay in. 4 nights in the one bedroom vs 3 nights in the 2 bedroom. It would cost the same, but it's tricky not knowing the bed situation and number of bathrooms etc. Guess I'll have to call the hotel directly.

Resurrecting this old thread to ask if anyone has stayed in the junior suite recently. Would it be spacious enough for 4 adults?

I researched the 1-3 bedroom family & junior suites pretty extensively over at DLH.

The big difference between the junior and family suites are

The 1 Bedroom Family Suite can sometimes include a balcony (the junior suites do not), they can sleep up to 6 adults and vary in configurations to include 1 king bed and 1 queen-size sleeper sofa or 2 queen beds and 1 queen-size sleeper sofa.

The 1 Bedroom Junior Suite can sleep up to 4 adults configurations typically include 1 king bed, 1 queen-size sleeper sofa, and 1 twin-size pull-down bed.

For the price difference I’ve found between the two I would just go with the family suite if possible. If I remember correctly the junior suites were in less desirable locations — I’m not 100% on this I thought I had a spreadsheet comparing saved I can try to find.

If you go junior suite I would just make sure someone was ok with the sofa bed and pulldown. I don’t know when you are planning on going, but I’ve seen several dates where the 1 bedrooms are cheaper.

Thank you so much! This is very helpful. For my dates the price difference is only $100 for the whole trip so I think I'll go with the 1 bedroom.

That trip ended up getting cancelled. But we went in 2022 and stayed in the huge 2 bedroom family suite. It had 2.5 bathrooms.
Remind me you stayed in the 2 bedroom connecting suite didnt you -- the one with the 1 door that connects to 2? That is the one that really always gets me! It looks absolutely huge & one I always see people rave about. It is also one that when I compared prices to other places nothing really compared to what you got!

Yes, that was the one. It was at the end of the hall in Frontier and you open these double doors and you're in a mega suite. 2 bedrooms with king beds, a big living room with a sofa bed, 2 balconies, 2.5 bathrooms and a small kitchen.

This is the 1 room I wish I would of never heard of or saw any of the reviews LOL Because no matter what it lives rent free in my mind. I seriously always go back and look at it -- in fact I just did.vI am like wait you can get this absolutely amazing room or go to the GCH & only get pool view or standard concierge for pretty much the same price. I wont compare it to the 2bd at the GCH because I think on size it is way bigger -- and we dont need to talk about the price difference. I need someone to tell me it sucks & everything else is better :rotfl2:
But really I need to book this room at least once.

Oh, you'd hate it. Don't even think of booking this suite! Any other room in the whole resort would be better than this one.

I’m not sure why….. but I have an inkling you are lying to me 🤣
I’m definitely gonna book the room at least once if anything just because It’s become a bucket list thing at this point.

That's exactly what happened to me when I saw that suite. I just HAD to stay there.

OK, I am not trying to hijack your post but I think you are a good one to ask LOL I am hovering over a check out button. I need someone with inside info & I think you could help LOL

I am trying to book 2 very long awaited trips after having to cancel them due the company I had been at since the start got bought out. Then I was hit by a drunk driver right before Christmas -- thankfully it was just me in the car. This trip will be the 2 youngest kids(16 & 6) first trip. The one thing that got me through the recovery was knowing I was going to be able to tour college campuses with our youngest son & see our little girl (ourson will love it too:p)experience Disney.....during the 1.5 hr MRI I closed my eyes and just thought about that. This trip is going to be a splurge trip. This will be our daughter's real trip because of COVID & also losing my brother & my husband's dad. It's been rough since 2020, but there has been a lot of good mixed in there also.

I know a lot of people will think its crazy. It is 100% crazy but I need it, and I'm going to make some core memories.
1 of the trips is going to be during Christmas -- going as a kid on Christmas day is still one of my fondest memories from childhood. I had thought about stay a GCH for because of the decorations. DLH will be expensive also... For the Christmas one it will most likely be just a regular room -- maybe CL but only if I really think we can save $$$ with eating. Our son is a bottomless pit so it might help. It is going to be expensive no matter where we stay. I've even considered WDW or cruise for 1 of the trips, but I am a DL girl. Not only that it overwhelms me thinking about planning it & I love CA and the weather etc.

The upcoming trip will be at the end of summer for 5 days...it's actually cheaper to do 5 than 4 with the promotion. At either DL/GCH for a regular room it will be a good deal(on property wise) or even CL for a decent price. Then there is the suites..... We can do the DLH 2 bedroom connecting or a GCH 2 bedroom....its actually CHEAPER than the 1 bedroom! The price difference between DLH and GCH suites for the whole trip would be around 2500-2800.

Any input/suggestions 🤣

I don't think it's crazy at all. it's nice having a fancy splurge once in a while, especially after a tough time. If it's affordable, I'd say go for the 2 bedroom suite since you've been dreaming of it for so long and it's such an important trip. I haven't looked into the GCH suites but it would be nice to be that close to the park AND have all that space. After I did the 2 bedroom once I was able to go back to normal rooms lol. My upcoming trip will be at DLH in either the jr suite or 2 connecting rooms.

I love club level but after a few days I got tired of the same food and we didn't even use it on our last day aside from getting coffee. It really does help with food costs, though.

Have a wonderful trip!
