we're booked into a one bedroom at BWV during F&W. Where do I find info on these rooms? I got confused, thinking they had 2 bathrooms - but I think I'm thinking of the Grand Californian @ Disneyland.

Silly question - what kind of coffee pot, so I bring the right kind of filters?

For 1BR walk throughs go to YouTube and search for "Disney's boardwalk villa one bedroom" Note those walk-throughs and photos you may find do not reflect the latest refurbishment which is still in progress. They have a single bathroom and the coffee pot is a Mr. Coffee (using basket shaped filters).

The 1 bds have 1 bathroom but it is separated by a door into 2 areas. One area with a shower, toilet, and lavatory. The other has a jetted tub, lavatory, and the closet.

Actually, the area with the jetted tub has a sink, no toilet. The other area has a shower, sink and toilet. This is at BWV.

You posted that the area with the tub had a lavatory, and it doesn't. It has a sink. There is only one toilet/lavatory, and it is in the area with the shower.

Must be regional idioms. We call any type of bathroom basin (not a tub) with hot and cold running water a lavatory.

Where do you live? We are in the northeast US and I have always used the word sink!

From NE a sink is a basin with faucets and a drain,a lavatory is a toilet! I wouldn't want to brush my teeth in a lavatory! LOL funny how different regions name things differently.

Not to Hijack this thread but I have always found regional use of words to be funny. Depending where you are from Lavatory = A)Sink or basin in a bathroom, B)Toilet, or C) A Room with Toilet and Sink/Basin. I'm from NJ and for me it's always been (C) the Room, but I don't know if that use is really regional or just within my extended family.

When I was a child, my maternal grandmother called the bathroom, "the basement". She lived in south Louisiana where no one built basements because the water line was/is high. It was her euphemism.

The only time I used C was in Catholic school. You asked to go to the 'Lav' if you needed the restroom!
