One bedroom at Cypress Palms?

We just booked plane tickets for a December trip last night. Has anyone stayed in a one bedroom at Cypress Palms (5300 Fairfield Lake Drive) recently? Clean and comfortable is my main concern, but I was also wondering about the smoking policy. I would prefer a two bedroom, but there's no availability at Hotel Kingdom for my dates.

Cypress Pointe (where we stayed last year) doesn't have a two bedroom available, or I'd stay there again.

I have not stayed here yet but have booked a one bedroom booked for later this year. There are two types of one bedrooms, regular and deluxe. The one bedroom regular does not have a balcony I think and only has a partial kitchen. The one bedroom deluxe has a full kitchen, in room jacuzzi tub and balcony. Hopefully you have booked the larger deluxe unit in order to smoke on the balcony. If you get the unit without the balcony, I thinkyou will have to go outside to smoke since I'm pretty sure you are not allowed to smoke in the units.

It looks like a nice resort. I have read a lot about it and it is rated very high on tripadvisor.

It's a clean and well kept resort. The staff there is also great. The regualr 1BRs are very small. There is barely enough room to set up the sofa bed in the living room. I think the regular 1BR units are claustrophonic, but certainly better than a regular hotel room.

Thanks so much for the helpful information! I haven't booked yet, it just looked like it might be a good prospect. It doesn't sound as though we'd be happy with the regular one bedroom, so I'll check to see if Hotel Kingdom is specifying which one they're offering.

Editing to add, I'm not a smoker--I was just wondering if they had non-smoking units. It sounds like maybe they do?
